A STUD NAMED SAM (NW4400) was third over and stacked four deep, finished full of pace and just missed at over 40-1.
BENJIS BEST (CLMHCP30/40000) won fourth in a row in front-stepping score pulling away from a determined challenger.
NOB HILL FLASH (CLMHCP30/40000) challenged the top one at 13-1 but was second best.
FULSOME (CLM40000) faced pressure twice in front-end effort tiring in the lane.
Monday, September 11
BIRTHDAY (NW6400) was parked to the lead, set a quick clip and held with authority in fast victory.
SWEET HOME (NW9500M) finished full of pace from third over and bears watching.
SANTAFES COACH (NW4600) was parked a long way to the lead, set a pressed pace and gutted out a second-place finish losing only by a nose to the late close of the second-over favorite.
CAPTAIN SKIPPY (NW2/2YO) won from out of the pocket and is now 2-for-2 in short career.

AFTER ALL PAUL (CLMHCP17500/20000) Beaten favorite followed wide the final turn and finished full of trot but had too far to come.
CANT SAY NO (CLMHCP25/300000) left, took the lead, yielded and was shuffled, pulled, tucked the pocket, rallied in the lane but just missed. Beaten favorite made 3 moves to lose by only a neck.
POISONPOKE (NW2/2YO) had the outside, went to the lead, faced the favorite's challenge the final quarter and was second best on the board and on the track.
GRAB THE CHANCE S (NW2FM) went wide to clear poor cover, cleared, challenged but was a neck short in the photo to the front-stepping favorite.
UTOPIA BLUE CHIP (W1-3FM) drew off in handy wire to wire romp in latest.
