MEADOWBRANCH WENDY (NW2FM) was parked to the pocket, tucked, sat to the lane, rallied and got up on the wire in impressive effort.

JANET (NW2FM) went down the road and weakened in the last steps in good try. Beaten favorite will win her share of races.

GUILFORD (CLMHCP20/25000) was quick to the lead, met pressure from the quarter to the half, shook off that challenger but was immediately engaged in another battle as the eventual winner challenged and finally wore him out.

MEGAMASS (CLM10000) left, tucked, sat to the final turn, tipped and cruised by leaving plenty for next time.

ALL FIRED UP (CLM15000) rallied gamely along the rail from the three-hole but just missed.

Saturday, September 6

SENOR GRANDE (NW10000) was quick to the top, yielded, sat pocket and rallied gamely but second best to the even-money favorite.

FORTUNISTA (NW22500) tucked early, saved to the lane, rallied gamely inside but just missed.

MOSEE TERROR (NW13000) finished strong from the back of the pack in last and earns a look in next.

MAYTIME TERROR (NW10000) came uncovered, chased the favorite all the way home with game pace and was second best.
