Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 28 - Oct. 1
Saturday, September 28
DEADLINE HALL (W4-7) put away early pressure and drew off the last quarter.
BEE FOREVER (NW14000) was parked, tucked, sat in, rallied up the rail, took a bad step and flattened out.
STRETCH THE LINE (CLM25000) sat last, rallied wide and fast but ran out of track.
PEDAL ON METAL (W4-7) took the lead, yielded and was second best at every call to the wrapped-up odds-on pacesetter.
MOMENT IS HERE (NW17500) sat to the rear with little to no interest. Do not ignore when the 'moment' will arrive.
Monday, September 30
JORDANNA HANOVER (NW2/2YOF) finished full of pace from third over passing a bunch of foes and should score in next race or two.
PYRENEES HANOVER (NW2800) sat in the four hole gapping to the final turn, rallied, finished well in :26 3/5 for last panel and can beat this kind.
STELLAR YANKEE (NW4400) left to the top, yielded for the pocket, rallied well but just missed.
BAY BREEZE HANOVER (NW2/2YOF) yielded, retook and never looked back. Should be more in store.
DANDY IDEAL (NW2/2YO) tucked, brushed and was a speedy front-end winner.
SHUFFLE UP HANOVER (NW1300) tucked, sat to the lane, slipped out heading home and was moving well to the wire.
Tuesday, October 1
SWEET HEART AS (NW2800) well-bet second choice yielded twice and was second best to the front-stepping favorite.
SHIV (NW2800) second choice sat pocket to the odds-on pacesetting win and was second best at every call.
LION ON LANDON (CLMLHCP15/20000) followed the winner, lost cover, continued to chase and was second best at over 18-1 in solid effort.
FIRST UP (NW2800) closed well from second over but just missed in latest.
