Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 23 - Sept. 27

Ken Walters|Sep 30, 2014

Tuesday, September 23

PROUD MOMENT (CLMHCP125/15000) almost tipped near the third panel but decided to stay the rail, tipped clear early stretch, finished with strong trot but too late.

BAZOOKA (NW5) was in traffic to the last steps, slipped clear and closed well to nail second.

KEYSTONE WYATT (NW7000) crushed the field in last and just an ordinary win or two in next race or two will suffice.

RAJIS BLUE LINE (NW4000) left, tucked, pulled uncovered to the half, challenged a long way and stayed stubbornly in contention to the last steps.

ARMBRO DAVID (NW4000) finished strongly and wide from 4th over but had too far to come in last outing.

Wednesday, September 24

MISS WAPWALLOPEN (CLMHCP75/10000) grinded up uncovered, rallied gamely and gained fast in the last steps as the winner weakened. Beaten favorite can atone in next outing.

MADDYS DOLLY (CLMHCP15/20000FM) had much too far to come from 4th over but rally she did and earns a look for next race or two.

MACHINIST (CLM10000) was way back heading home 4th over in the flow, came home fastest of all and will not be 80-1 in next.

HARNESSNITENCANADA (CLMHCP125/15000) finished strong following the winner home from 4th over and was game for 2nd.

Saturday, September 27

WILAMAR VALLEY (NW13000) was parked uncovered forever, challenged to the final turn and tired.

WIND OF THE NORTH (PRF) closed a ton in game victory over a track where front end speed was holding all night.

IDEAL CANDIDATE (CLM10000) was second best down the road to the pocket sitting favorite in last outing.

FINAL CURTAIN (CLMHCP15/20000) came uncovered, tucked the open pocket near the three-quarters, rallied gamely but was second best.
