Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 21 - Sept. 24

Ken Walters|Sep 25, 2019

Saturday, September 21
OURLITTLEGENERAL A (NW6200) beaten favorite closed well from third over but it was too much to ask.
CHUCKABUCK (NW3000) brushed to the lead passing the half, met pressure the last quarter and tired. A better-timed move or a being a little tighter in next race or two should get it done.
LINDYS BIG BANG (NW6500) went down the road drawing away impressively in last romp.
ELECTRIC WESTERN (NW9600) tucked pocket at 22-1 and was second best at every call.
Sunday, September 22
BROADWAY MOJO (NW17500) sat to the rear, rallied coming past the third panel finished with good trot.
CHEERIO HILL (NW4) tucked early, pulled to the third panel, rallied wide and motored home to win going away.
PRAIRIE WESTERNGAL (NW4FM) left, yielded, sat pocket, tried to tip late in the final turn but was bothered and broke while looking like she was going to give a solid accounting of herself.
JOEY PRO (NW3300) was parked to the lead, met some third-panel pressure, shruggled it off and was best.
Monday, September 23
STOP RESISTIN (NW2) sat pocket and won going away to earn maiden victory.
DOWNUNDERMATTER (NW3200) tucked to the quarter, tipped heading home with game rally but came up a bit short. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
ALOTA CHIPS (NW2) followed wide from third over in a dying outer flow and closed well to get up for second to the prohibitive favorite.
STICK THAT LIP OUT (NW2FM) was a handy down the road winner in last.
Tuesday, September 24
ARCHIBALD (NW9000) was parked the mile, challenged the mile and dug in gamely to the wire getting nosed by the tripped-out pockesitter.
LAKEVIEW TAMMY (NW7000) rushed to the top, yielded, sat pocket as the leader battled, refused to go away in the lane at 98-1 but was second at the wire.
HURRICANE CALLEIGH (NW3000M) was third over, rallied between horses willingly but seemed to lack the needed room to accelerate.
DYNAMIC EDGE (NW7000) was parked the mile grinding up to the leader, challenged at the third panel then flattened out but stayed around to the end and should not be overlooked.
