Pocono: Horses to watch from Sept. 16 - Sept. 20

Ken Walters|Sep 24, 2014

Tuesday, September 16

LADY ALICE (NW4000FM) rallied gamely up the rail in last for second place to the odds on favorite.

ENS GLIDING CONDOR (NW4000) finished with strong trot for second best to the odds on favorite in last outing.

CATHYS PROMISE (NW7000) was slow off the gate in last but rallied wide and game the final turn to the wire to just miss.

HAPPILY EVER AFTER (NW4/2-4YOFM) roared wide in the final turn and finished strongly to win going away when most winners on the evening were either on the lead or pocket sitting.

PERFECT TRUTH (NW2/2-4YOFM) proved to be very game at a whopping 110-1 making a bold uncovered move chasing the odds-on favorite to the wire and digging in to keep second.

Wednesday, September 17

KIDDIE MCCARDLE (CLMHCP75/10000FM) broke before the start, took back, raliled strongly to the third panel, followed wide around a stalled horse, got stuck deep to the lane and tired.

JOHNHANNIBALSMITH (CLMHCP75/10000) was uncovered the last half, challenged the pace but weakened in the lane. Beaten favorite is always eligible to atone next outing.

NOTTIN TO MUCH (CLMHCP75/10000) was third over in poor flow to the final turn, went wide finishing with a game but prolonged rally.

LOCKLOADNEXPLODE (CLM10000) took the lead, yielded and was shuffled, sat to the lane, found room along the rail with good finish but had far to come.

SALLY SAVANNAH (NW4/2-4YO) closed well from second over rallying off poor cover in most recent outing.

Saturday, September 20

MELADYS MONET (NW22500) finished full of trot from far back in last over speed favoring track.

TRANSCENDING (NW10000) closed a ton to win last in game style at a whopping 49-1 and would be no suprise in next.

WIND OF THE NORTH (PRF) challenged uncovered and game to the wire versus pacesetting odds-on favorite.

R CAAN (NW155000) sat chilling at the rear to the final turn, tipped, stepped on the gas, wheeled wide and came home strong and game but too late.
