Pocono: Horses to watch from October 26 - October 29

Ken Walters|Nov 01, 2024

Saturday, October 26

CAPTAIN FEAR NOT (SIMPSON) was parked the mile, challenged to the third call, weakened in the final turn.

SEEB GERE (SIMPSON) was wide the final turn, stacked wider into the lane, hit stride late and closed well once into gear.

ERIN (W4-7) was used a long way to the lead, put away a challenger in the final turn, dug in but was nailed by the pocket horse. Beaten favorite can turn it around in next.

WE BE JAMMIN (CLM25000) beaten favorite was wide the final turn, had a long way to come but got up for 3rd. Do not ignore in next.

THRASHER (CLMHC30/40000) trailed to the lane, flashed some strong late foot with a late wide rally.

Monday, October 28

PERFECT PROMISES (CLMHCP10/12500) had poor cover but finished full of pace to be second on the wire at 30-1.

LYONS BENZ (SIMPSON) was in the pocket and second best at every call to the prohibitive front-stepping favorite.

FRENCH KRONOS (SIMPSON) tucked early, challenged the prohibitive favorite the last quarter and was second in the photo.

FLYING KRONOS S (SIMPSON) proved game on the front end when challenged by the second choice and can take another.

SWAN FAITH (NW2FM) came uncovered and won going away. Should take another or two.

SIR PINOCCHIO (SIMPSON) was a handy wire-to-wire winner last time around the oval.

RAVEN BANNER N (NW4400) finished strong from a distant third over and bears watching.

Tuesday, October 29

AMILYN HOLDO (NW2FM) rallied wide around poor cover the final turn, cleared by headstretch and closed well.

WOODMERE HARRIET (NW2800M) closed well from third over and should nail a win in next race or two.

HONOLULU HANOVER (NW2) brushed to the third call, took the lead and was a handy winner.

STOP THE SHOOTIN (NW2800) took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and was second best to the pacesetting favorite.

GOOD FEELN TO KNOW (NW9500) tucked early, rallied uncovered and was second best to the odds-on favorite.
