Pocono: Horses to watch from Oct. 23 - Oct. 26
Saturday, October 23
PALOMAR (NW6000) was a handy down the road winner in last and will be hard to beat in next.
WALTER MITTY (CLMHCP30/40000) was out in the final turn with strong finish at over 20-1 and should be taken seriously in next.
MACMORRIS HANOVER (NW12500) was bet like a winner and won like a winner and can win again.
RICH AND MISERABLE (NW17500) was parked a long way to the lead, battled a determined challenger a long way and dug in gamely getting necked by a tripped-out pocket-sitting foe who has been sharp in most of recent.
Monday, October 25
CHIPLOSIVE (NW5000) made it look easy with comfortable wire to wire victory in first start in nearly a month as he shipped in from Big M.
STORMONT VENTNOR (NW5000) shipped in sharp from Canada for same trainer as the above and romped even easier.
RUN ONEOVER N (CLMHCP75/10000) rallied wide from second-over to poor cover and bears watching.
ROSE RUN VANTAGE (NW7100M) was first to the top, yielded and was shuffled, rallied evenly between horses in latest and could surprise.
Tuesday, October 26
QUICKEST HANOVER (NW4) was second best on the board and on the track in front-stepping effort over a sloppy track.
ADDISON HANOVER (NW2) was the only wire to wire winner over a sloppy tiring track in last.
BYGONE HANOVER (NW1FM) started her move, took a bad step, rallied back to be second over and closed strongly to just miss.
AILEY HANOVER (NW2FM) tucked early, rallied late from third over and did not miss by much.
