Pocono: Horses to watch from Oct. 22 - Oct. 25

Ken Walters|Oct 27, 2016

Saturday, October 22

TERROR TIME A (CLMHCP20/25000) keeps on winning and the streak is at six. Will be hard to beat at this level or slightly higher.

BROOKROAD KNIGHT (NW19000) ralllied to the third panel, tucked and finished gamely at 56-1 in most recent adventure.

POINTSMAN (NW9000) took the lead, yielded, retook, battled and was dead game.

KID PK (NW17500) finished full of pace up the rail at over 20-1.

THE FIRE WITHIN (NW6000) rallied uncovered the last quarter in game finish at 15-1.

Sunday, October 23

SPIRIT SQUAD (NW5000) flashed some good late foot from back of the pack and should not be ignored.

DOLCE DUCCI (NW6000) left to the top, yielded, got badly shuffled when the winner brushed, tipped and closed well but the race had gotten away from him.

SERIOUS SAVANNAH (NW5) left to the top, yielded, got shuffled, shuffled, closed well through stretch traffic but too late.

SWEET WATER JACK (CLM7500) had some good late foot between horses in last and earns long look in next.

Monday, October 24

PINE BUSH MISSY (NW2FM) tipped uncovered in the final turn, rallied gamely and just missed it.

SHOCK N AWE (NW2/2YOF) was on the lead past the quarter, yielded, sat pocket, tired but rallied gamely to be a neck short to the odds-on favorite.

TACS DELIGHT (CLM7500) veteran tucked, let the speed settle, tipped, brushed strongly and waved good bye winning as he pleased.

YOUCANIKNOW (NW2) well bet second choice saved to the lane, tipped wide, closed a ton and just missed to odds-on favorite.

Tuesday, October 25

WHITE MOUNTAIN TOP (NW6000) sat raging in the pocket after yielding the lead twice, tipped and closed strongly looking like he had plenty left.

OPINION HANOVER (NW6000) was wide twice en route to a 4th place finish and should not be ignored.

TIME TO TALK (NW3FM) had poor cover, rallied wide, cleared the field, tucked the pocket and was a game 2nd in last outing.

BORN TO FIGHT (NW3100) set his own pace and won for fun.

VALERYA (NW3000M) had cover and closed with good speed to be a game second best last time and should get a win in next.
