Pocono: Horses to watch from Oct. 17 - Oct. 21

Ken Walters|Oct 23, 2015

Saturday, October 17

MR DENNIS (NW9750) finished well from back of the pack and should find a better spot soon.

CASH CAB (CLM10000) closed a ton at 54-1 to miss by a smidgeon and may get luckier in next.

HRUBYS N LUCK (CLM15000) put in credible down the road effort in last but was outkicked by the twice-used winner.

ABOMINABLE SNOWPAN (CLMHCP20/25000) sat to the back, rallied wide and closed with pace. Connections will find a spot for him soon.

Tuesday, October 20

ANDOVER EXPRESS (NW/2-4YO) took an early tuck, pulled to the half, challenged uncovered at 200-1 and proved game enough in credible effort.

FATEFUL CHOICE (NW3000) beaten favorite put in a solid down the road effort but was outkicked by strong closing second-choice winner.

MONOPOLY BLUE CHIP (NW3/2-4YO) brushed, crushed and had plenty left.

KNOCKING AROUND (NW3000) made an early move to the lead, set a good clip and held easily.

IF YOU WANT FIRE (NW5) lost cover but came on to challenge as the lead changed and proved game to the wire while getting headed in the last steps.

Wednesday, October 21

TROTALOT and JB OUI OUI (NW8500) the former set the pace under the latter's long, hard pressure and the two dueled to the death setting up the late closers. Either can score with some racing luck.

PERFECT RENDITION (NW13000) was moving on the inside but had to take up losing his best momentum and earns a look in next.

ILLUSIONSNDREAMS (NW13000) tipped into a blindswitch as tight bunch turned for home and cleared late between horses finishing with trot.

DOC SIMONS DREAM (NW3/2-4YOFM) rushed up uncovered, challenged to the lane and tired. The move could have been a winner if better timed or if she was a big tighter. Either way, do not ignore.
