Pocono: Horses to watch from Nov. 8 - Nov. 12

Ken Walters|Nov 14, 2014

Saturday, November 8

TO BEACH HIS OWN (CLMHCP20/25000) went down the road over a track that was tiring for pacesetters and held well to beat the bias.

MACHINIST (CLMHCP10/12500) left, tucked, pulld uncovered, challenged, took the lead, dug in but could not last. Beaten favorite should atone in next.

IM BLUE TOO (CLM15000) finished with a flurry as he found his best stride a few steps too late in last.

MOSEE TERROR (NW10500) came wide in the final turn, rallied all out and finished gamely to just miss the winner's circle.

Tuesday, November 11

JL ROCKIN JATE (NW4000) finished high, wide and handsome with strong but a neck too late finish in last.

ONE LAST ROADIE (NW2/2-4YO) left to the lead, yielded and was shuffled, tipped uncovered in the final turn, went to the leader and blew by for fun leaving much for next race.

REAL DJ HANOVER (NW1/2-4YO) took the lead, yielded, retook, set a good clip and held easily. Speedy 2yo should take another or two.

ROYAL KEE WEE N (NW1/2-4YO) took the lead, yielded, retook, met a hard challenge from the half to the wire and dug in gamely as the odds on favorite to earn the win in last.

ALLIES DRAGON (NW1/2-4YO) came uncovered to the half, gave the top one all he wanted and never went away. At 15-1 he wasn't expected to be this brave. He will not be 15-1 in next outing.

Wednesday, November 12

DRAMA FREE (NW2/2-4YO) granted he was aided by a breaker scattering the field at the half but he seemed to be having a good day with 10-12 length lead and lost no ground the last panel. Can take another and should.

PROUD MOMENT (CLMHCP20/25000) wired the field effortlessly in last and should be hard to catch in next.

SOMENICEBEACH (NW15000FM) finished with good speed and just missed the whole ball of wax by two noses.

CLIENT NINE (CLMHCP125/15000) jogged on the front end to crush foes in last and looms large as repeat winner.

WHATSTHEFOXSAY (NW1/2-4YOFM) set the pace under pressure from two separate foes and dug in with all she had. Gutty miss could not stall the last challenger who was much fresher and charged by off a covered trip.
