Pocono: Horses to watch from Nov. 18 - Nov. 21

Ken Walters|Nov 22, 2017

Saturday, November 18

GINGER TREE CASH (NW17500) closed a ton and just missed in rousing finish at 16-1 in most recent.

JUSTICE MY WAY (NW5300) was far back into the final turn, stacked three, four, five wide and flattened in the lane but might have better racing luck soon.

ROCK ON THE HILL (NW6750) beaten favorite struggled to keep up but found something coming to the third panel, rushed up and wide with authority to just miss and will make amends in no time.

BELIEVEINTHESPIRIT (NW6750) went wide to clear cover, came strong uncovered, made it look easy winning going away.

VICTORY AHEAD (CLM1000) second favorite tucked to the quarter, pulled uncovered to the half and challenged the odds-on favorite, tired but battled gamely to keep second.

Sunday, November 19

ODDS ON DELAY (NW5) set the pace and was second best to the tripped out pocket-sitting odds-on favorite.

WICKED NICK (NW5) left in traffic, broke in the turn, lost ground, came back uncovered, challenged and broke again. Well-bet second choice should atone soon.

HAILEYSONEDANCING (NW3000) sat to the third call, pulled, rushed up, challenged and won going away.

LONG BEACH (NW1) came back after a short layoff, got parked to the lead, set pressed pace and tired. Could be tighter in next race or two.

DREAMS ARE TRUE (NW1) tucked to the quarter, pulled in the final turn with strong finish.

Tuesday, November 21

GLENFERRIE BRONTE N (NW13500M) had poor cover, rallied wide and closed gamely to just miss the tripped-out winning favorite.

HURRIKANE KINGKONG (NW2) was used to the lead, met pressure and held gamely but tired.

SKINNY DIPPER (NW9000FM) wired the field and was wrapped up through the lane.

HANRAHAN (NW6000) rallied long wide and flattened at 68-1 and should not be ignored.
