Pocono: Horses to watch from Nov. 1 - Nov. 5

Ken Walters|Nov 08, 2014

Saturday, November 1

STAGECOACH HOLDUP (NW10200) finished belatedly from back of the pack with a full head of steam and will find a winning spot soon.

DOO WOP HANOVER (NW13500) closed strong and game from third over to bring home the gold as the favorite in last and earns another look.

GD AIRLINER (NW17500) found his stride a nose too late in last and will earn a trip to winners circle in next race or two.

HARNESSNITENCANADA (CLM10000) rushed home quickly from fourth over to score for barn that has the winning habit and looks to be the one to be in next few outs.

L A CAMCHARGER (CLMHCP25/30000) took the field all the way but was nailed on the wire by the pocket-sitter. Beaten favorite should waste no time atoning for the blemish.

Tuesday, November 4

MR LUCKY LUKE (NW1/2-4YO) came uncovered, challenged but had to take a seat in the pocket when it opened. Rallied again in the lane but the winner proved too tough. This beaten favorite should be right there in the hunt in next.

FIE FY FO (NW2/2-4YOFM) was under her own power through lane and should be able to take another.

RODEO RED (NW4000) finished with good trot and Pena will find a spot for him to get it done.

MINDALES SMILE (NW4000FM) was three-holed after the speed settled, sat in, improved when the pocket horse tipped, followed out, flattened out. Should have stayed in the pocket for best results.

Wednesday, November 5

BOS SO HOT (CLM15000) left, took the lead, yielded, retook, set the pace under the favored winner's cover and was second best in the photo.

JUSTIN ON BROADWAY (NW2/2-4YO) was wide a long way in the final turn and into the lane, had a shot for more but flattened out. A better trip should be all he needs.

RISE ABOVE IT (CLM5000) went down the road and drew off as he pleased.

MR CANDYMAN (CLMHCP75/10000) was off stride at the start, recovered to the rear, raced parked, gained cover but lost it in the final turn, continued gamely.

RAVEN VICTORY (CLMHCP20/25000) was parked the mile uncovered, prompted the pace to the stretch before tiring.
