Pocono: Horses to watch from May 7 - May 9

Ken Walters|May 12, 2023

Sunday, May 7

PARK OFFICIAL (CLMHCP30/40000) veteran won impressively to nail ninth straight win and has to be the one to beat until he's beaten.

C IS FOR COOKIE (PaStars) won her division in game front-stepping effort to notch her 5th win in a row.

HUNGRY FOR LOVE (PaStars) was second best in her division racing for 1st time this year and should score soon.

LOUS BEACH (W4-7) set the pace to the last step at over 18-1 in last only to be nailed by the uncovered odds-on favorite.

SOUTH BEACH STAR and BAD TOTHE BONE N (NW22000) were 1-2 around the track in speedy mile and either one could score in next.

Monday, May 8

PERKINS (CLM15000) was parked the mile, challenged the last quarter and tired.

I CANT REFUSE (NW1FM) was all wrapped up at the end in front-stepping score.

CLEVELAND B MIKI (NW1) was bothered early, saved to the lane, rallied late in good finish at over 40-1 and bears watching.

LINEMUP KNOCKMBACK (NW1FM) was bet like a winner, scored like a champ and should take another.

TRICKY DICK (NW2500) two early breakers left him on the lead and he just kept drawing away. Might be able to nail another.

Tuesday, May 9

CRANTINI (NW4) was second best to the handy pacesetting winner in first start of the year and should score soon.

PORTOFINO (NW4) well-bet second choice was parked to the lead in first start of the year, met last-panel pressure and got a little tired at the end. Should be tighter in next.

P CHICO (NW1) brushed and crushed in last and will be hard to deny in next.

ADRENALINE RUSH (CLMHCP10/12500) brushed to the lead the final turn but was necked at the wire.

ARTACHE HANOVER (CLMHCP10/12500) was shuffled back in the final turn, tipped, finished strong but a tad too late.

FALANA HANOVER (NW2FM) took the top, yielded and was shuffled, came uncovered and was a game winner in her first start of the year.
