Pocono: Horses to watch from May 21 - May 24

Ken Walters|May 26, 2022

Saturday, May 21

SEXY BLUE CHIP (CLMHCP30/40000) was a handy wire to wire winner last time out and should be the one to catch again.
CAVIART MAX (CLMHCP30/40000) was parked in last, grinded up, went wide the final turn and still had pace getting up for 3rd. A better trip could get it done.
CLASSIC PRO (CLMHCP20/25000) set a pressed pace and was outfinished by the pocket-sitting favorite.
DO WORK SON (NW6OOO) rallied four wide picking off a bunch of rivals at 37-1 and should be considered in next.

Sunday, May 22

TAM MAJOR A (NW6000) odds-on favorite went to the top, yielded but was shuffled as the lead changed into the stretch, found room and got it done.
SOY BOOTH (NW4) won for fun as the prohibitive front-stepping favorite and should take some more.
PAROLA HANOVER (PaSTARS) finished full of trot to just missed the prohibitive pace-setting favorite and will be heard from again.
BRILLIANT BEAUTY (NW17500M) was a game uncovered but second best at 11-1 to the odds-on favorite.

Monday, May 23

VALAR DOHAERIS (NW2FM) sat pocket to the half, pulled past the marker and exploded home.
WHATS GOIN ON (CLM7500) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the third panel and was a going away winner.
ARMED BANDIT (NW1) was a pocket-sitting second best to the favorite while going off at 23-1 and should be considered.
BULLVILLE JONATHONE (NW4300) put in a wide rally the final turn going around dead cover. Battled with the favorite but was second best in the photo.

Tuesday, May 24

ROCK KING DEO (CLMHCP10/12500) went wide to clear traffic, tucked the pocket and was second best at 9-1.
TALISMANO (NW2) put in a solid down the road effort but was nailed in the late stages. Could be tighter for next.
STORM IS RAGING (NW6900) brushed early and crushed foes as the prohibitive favorite and should take more.
HES A SNOB (NW3) closed well to be second best to the front-stepping odds-on favorite.
