Pocono: Horses to watch from March 8 - March 11

Ken Walters|Mar 14, 2025

Saturday, March 8

PRINTVILLE (W4-7) was bothered early and was parked from there, challenged the well-bet second favorite's pace, dug in to the last yards. Could be a serious threat with better trip.

AMERITRIC (W4-7) was bothered early and took back, moved again and was wide the last quarter, tired some in the lane but was wiped out when another foe bore out. Showed enough rally to earn a look in next.

CHASE H HANOVER (WO25000) wired the field in fastest mile on the card and held easily.

HELLABALOU (NW9700) beaten favorite in last, sat pocket and won going away. Should be hard to beat in next.

LYONS SURFING (CLAIMS) won going away again to earn another win in the 'Game'.

BORNINLOCKDOWN GB (NW4) was parked a ways to the lead, met pressure the last 3/8 and was on own through the lane.

BELMONT MAJOR N (CLAIMS) yielded, retook, set a good clip and held well in speedy score.

Monday, March 10

JK MY GIRL (NW2800M) was an impressive down the road winner with nothing even a threat.

SOUTHERN SUGAR (W4-7FM) finished full of pace between horses and bears watching.

REALRUBIES AT PLAY (CLAIMS) finished wide and won going away on a day favoring the front-steppers and can cause some late trouble in the series.

TURN ON THE CHARM (NW4400M) set the pace under third panel pressure, shook it off and drew away living up to the .05 on the dollar odds.

UNEL BLUE CHIP (CLAIMS) sat pocket in good effort and earned second in the three-horse photo.

Tuesday, March 11

I CANT REFUSE (NW2800) was an easy winner and should give it a good try facing better in next.

STICK WITH CRAMER (CLAIMS) finished wide and strong to nail the pacesetting favorite in the last step in three-horse photo and should come to play in next.

MOVE THE LINE (CLAIMS) finished late from third over in quickest of the nine divisions.

GOLD GLOVE HANOVER (NW1) blew by from the pocket in quick mile and should have some more in store for his connections.
