Pocono: Horses to watch from March 4 - March 6

Ken Walters|Mar 10, 2023

Saturday, March 4

BOUNTY HUNTER (W4-7) tucked to the quarter, lost cover into the lane, rallied gamely and could not get to the front pacesetting favorite.

BRAVO TEX N (CLAIMS) was parked to the lead, faced pressure to the third call, shook it off and drew away.

CENTURY FURY (CLAIMS) finished late, wide and strong to win going away in latest.

CAVIART VAL (CLAIMS) finished gamely rallying wide to nail the dead heat in last and can be there again.

MUDVILLE (CLAIMS) sat last to the final turn, wheeled very to clear traffic, finished well and bears watching.

DANDY (NW21000) finished full of trot from way back to nail third missing the whole thing by a neck.

Sunday, March 5

MISTER DAYTONA N (CLAIMS) tucked twice and just missed on the wire chasing the all-out front-stepping winner and will get his moment.

ERINWOOD YVES (NW4) was wide twice clearing traffic here and there while closing for 2nd best at 20-1 to the odds-on front-stepping winner.

BAMSKI (CLAIMS) rushed up uncovered and won going away in impressive score in latest.

FRANTASY HANOVER (W4-7FM) was second best at every call and just missed. Well-bet second choice should not be ignored.

INTO THE UNKNOWN (NW4FM) closed stoutly from 3rd over to score impressively and will take another one soon.

Monday, March 6

THE BLACK ACE (NW2) sped around the oval at a good clip far ahead of the field but tired and was necked at wire. Should be tighter in next and will score.

CONGRESSIONAL (NW1) was a handy down the road winner in last and would be no surprise in next.

SPREE (NW6000) was parked the mile, challenged a long way and tired. A better trip gets it done.

IM A GIGOLO N (NW6000) got nailed on the wire in good down the road effort. Should take home the gold in next race or two.
