Pocono: Horses to watch from March 29 - April 1

Ken Walters|Apr 04, 2025

Saturday, March 29

WORLD OF WISHES (WEISS) yielded and was shuffled, pulled, brushed and was a handy winner in easily the quickest of the six divisions.

CHARGE ME UP (WEISS) beaten favorite was on the rim a long time grinding to the lead, yielded to the top one and was second best. Should have a win or two coming his way.

PRINCIPLE INTEREST (W4-7) left well at over 30-1, yielded to the odds-on favorite, got shuffled when the well-bet second choice brushed, challenged to the final turn, tucked and was second best in solid, impressive effort.

BELMONT ROYALE N (NW13000) took some money here and there, trailed all the way and could be a surprise waiting to happen.

CRUSH KILL DESTROY (NW4) set a good pace under the odds-on favorite's pressure and tired by mid lane. Could be tighter in next and should not be ignored.

Monday, March 31

WALLET (CLMHCP25/30000) made a bold three wide move the final turn and just missed the prohibitive favorite.

CIAO TIME (CLMHCP15/20000) left well, took the lead and was shuffled, pulled and challenged to the last step, wore down the leader but was nipped by the late-closing pocket sitting winner.

MACHS LEGACY A (NW4/3YOC) was behind dying cover, rallied wide a long way and bears watching.

TE QUIERO LINDY (WEISS) put up some speedy numbers in quickest of the three divisions but was nailed on the wire. Beaten favorite should be tighter in next.

HEYTHEBARTENDER (NW4) trailed to the final turn, rallied wide a long way and finished with trot to earn a look in next race or two.

Tuesday, April 1

NACH DORO A (CLM75000) yielded, pulled to the third call, rushed back to the lead, opened up and was an easy winner.

CANTKEEPMIASECRET (NW4400) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the third panel, rallied gamest in the 3-horse battle for second and bears watching.

STICK WITH CRAMER (CLAIMS) well-bet second choice rallied wide the last quarter with good finish to be second best to the winning front-stepping favorite.

DEARLY BELOVED (NW1FM) tucked, brushed, crushed and the way she was bet indicates there will another win or two coming soon.

LAST GOODBYE (NW2800) broke, missed the gate, saved, rallied late at 2-1 and might get it right with better start.

SOUTHWIND ARTURO (NW9500) closed with good pace to be second best to the front-stepping winner on a day when speed ruled the card.
