Pocono: Horses to watch from Mar. 2 - Mar. 5
Saturday, March 2
TUXEDO BAY (GAME/CLAIMS) finished wide and ran out of track at over 50-1.
DULY RESOLVED (NW9500) yielded, retook and crushed the field.
ENOLA (W4-6) chased uncovered but was second best on the board and on the track. Should find a win soon.
TOPVILLE SOMROCKET (NW6400) lost cover, challenged the new leader and blew by impressively into the lane.
Monday, March 4
TWENTYWEVENBELOW (GAME/CLAIMS) tucked, sat in buried to the lane, angled out and finished with good pace.
CENTURY FURY (GAME/CLAIMS)M had a tough trip and was forced to go wide twice along the way, finished well and just missed in game effort.
INTRIGUED AGAIN (GAME/CLAIMS) stacked 4-deep heading home, finished full of pace and just missed on a day when speed was holding.
CRACK A SMILE (GAME/CLAIMS) flashed some good late speed from third over and bears watching.
SHAZAM BLUE CHIP (GAME/CLAIMS) yielded, retook and was an easy winner.
Tuesday, March 5
EXCITING TIMES A (NW4FM) faced stern pressure from the half to the line and was nipped by the tripped-out second-over closer.
RACIN FOR ROYALTY (NW4PM) tucked early, pulled to the half, challenged the top one to the last steps faltering in the shadow of the line. Either one can take their next with any kind of better trip.
EVIL GUY (NW2800) brushed to command early and never looked back winning as easily as the board indicated he would.
JK MY GIRL (NW6400M) wired the field in handy fashion while being pressed from the beginning to head stretch and should be hard to catch again.
BLOODHOUND (NW6400) rallied 4-wide late in the final turn with good finish and bears watching.
