Pocono: Horses to watch from June 8 - June 11

Ken Walters|Jun 13, 2019

Saturday, June 8

TURBO HILL (NW17500) tucked, sat in getting shuffled a bit the final turn, found room late and closed well. Beaten favorite atones in quick order with luckier trip.

REBELLIOUS (NW17500) came wide from far back and finished well at 33-1 in most recent.

PEMBROKE WILDCAT (NW6000) left and was parked, found tuck, tipped around a quitter heading home and finished full of pace.

NINE WAYS (NW23000) put in a strong uncovered bid at 12-1 holding gamely but was nailed by the second-over even-money favorite and should be able to nail a win in next race or two.

Sunday, June 9

LETS ROLL (NW3000) was outkicked to the lead, decided on an early move, got the top past the quarter and paced away impressively.

CAPTAIN PANKO (NW4) tucked early, got shuffled, slipped out and clear mid lane with good finish and earns a look in next.

DANCING RUSTY (CLMHCP10/12500) finished full of pace from 3rd over and should score in next race or two.

CATCH MY SHADOW (CLMHCP10/12500) was far back into the lane but closed stoutly and will be a winner soon.

(Monday, June 10)

SHIVERED (CLMHCP15/20000) left, tucked at the quarter, got shuffled behind a quitter, tipped in the final turn and finished strong from an impossible spot.

SWEET LUCY LOU (NW2FM) tucked early, pulled to the third panel and put in long uncovered move to win going away.

WING SUIT (NW1) shipped in, got bet to odds-on favorite, grinded to the top, yielded for the pocket and won going away.

TRIXES DE VIE (NW2FM) rallied wide a long way and closed well but had far to come.

Tuesday, June 11

A LADY SIZZLING (NW6000M) had poor cover, went wide, had to stay wide to the lane, ducked in for the stretch and rallied gamely to just miss. A better trip should be the difference.

HOT SUMMER KNIGHT (NW6000) was third over the final turn, took the inside route when it opened and finished gamely.

GLORIA PIERRE (CLMHCP125/15000M) was a handy wire to wire victor and should take another.

MAGIC VACATION (NW9200) was buried on the rail, slipped out and wide going into the lane closed strongly.
