Pocono: Horses to watch from June 3 - June 6
Saturday, June 3
SOUTHPORT BEACH (CLMHCP20/25000) sat last, rallied 5 wide and late to gain second place.
FRANKIE ALL NITE (NW6600) finished strong with a wide finish at over 50-1 get up for second on a night when speed was holding well and late closers earn a long look in next.
PATE MCGARRY A (NW20000) closed well from third over. Will find a win soon somewhere.
CASUAL COOL (NW20000) yielded twice and was shuffled. Came on late in three-move effort. Should be luckier in next and perhaps gain the win.
BRECKENRIDGE (NW20000) was wide twice en route to a late-closing 3rd place finish.
YANKS DONUT (NW20000) was one of five winners and three second place finishers on the card for Burke. There was also a third place finisher.
Sunday, June 4
SWEET ON HER (PaStars) left to the top, yielded and was shuffled, tipped in the final turn, tucked to the rail and was an impressive second best at over 50-1 to the pacesetting odds-on favorite.
FEELING OPTIMISTIC (NW1) saved to the final turn, tipped, hit stride late and was second best on the board and on the track.
IMMANUEL K S (NW9000) was loose on the lead and on his own to the wire scoring his first win in the United States and should win some more here and there.
LAST MACH (NW2500) was parked the mile and just missed in game effort last time around the track.
QUEEN OF THORNTON (NW1FM) left well, sat three-holed and closed late between horses in latest and bears watching.
DIVINE ZETTER (NW1FM) was second over and flashed some solid late speed to come in second to the tripped-out pocket-sitting winner.
Monday, June 5
CHUCKY DE VIE (NW4400) was pressed the entire mile as the second favorite, gutted out a second place to the late-closing odds-on favorite and could get luckier in next.
STELLAR BLUE CHIP (CLM15000) was wide a long way and finished well to nail second place and would be no surprise in next race or two.
LENWOODS REAL DEAL (CLM15000) was parked the mile, challenged to late in the final turn and tired.
LOUSAIN BOLT (NW2) brushed in the final turn, took the lead but faltered. Barn is too sharp to ignore his chances in next.
PADRE (NW6700M) was on the front end under stern pressure a long way and tired. Do not be surprised if she has better luck in next.
Tuesday, June 6
GLOBALDOMINATION N (CLM15000) was a handy wire to wire winner in last and should give it another try.
JUSTLIKEHIM (CLMHCP25/3000) favorite was nailed on the wire by the well-bet second choice. Should be tighter in next and would be no surprise.
DIEHARD SEELSTER (CLMHCP25/30000) lived up to his name to earn third straight victory and is the one to fear until he loses.
BLAZING RAMONE (NW4FM) took the lead, yielded and sat pocket proving to be second best to the pace-setting odds-on favorite in last and bears watching.
