Pocono: Horses to watch from June 3 - June 6

Ken Walters|Jun 08, 2017

Saturday, June 3

BRICKMAN (CLM25000) was parked the mile uncovered, challenged to the last step, wore down the speed resisting the late bid of the late-closing favorite but was nipped by another late closer.

MARTY MONKHOUSER A (NW12000) won again with late closing rally and continues to be overlooked on the board.

CHACHING HANOVER (NW6000) scorched the track to the quarter, set a good pace, yielded at the three-quarters, rallied back in the lane, had aim but tired. Beaten favorite can atone in no time.

BARIMAH A (WO25000) was buried on the rail to the lane, rallied game and got up for 2nd at nearly 18-1.

Sunday, June 4

IRON MINE BUCKY (NW7) closed strongest but had furthest to come and just missed.

HEAVENS GAIT (NW5) roared home and won going away.

KANDY KORN (NW3000) had cover and a huge kick to win going away.

FROST DAMAGE BLUES (WO25000M) left, tucked, pulled to the half, challenged, closed gamley but was outkicked by the pocket sitter.

REVENANT (NW3) was parked the mile uncovered, challenged a long way, tired but still earned a check.

Monday, June 5

BOBS HOPE (NW3000) went down the road to nail a win and should be able to take another soon.

BROOKROADDONNIE (NW3000) rushed up uncovered, took the lead, got nailed by the odds-on favorite. The move was a winner versus most.

DAG INMY STOCKINGS (CLMHCP15/20000M) raced uncovered, finished gamely and just missed to the even money favorite.

GIANT MUSCLES (CLMHCP10/12500) was forced to race a long time wide and just missed at 11-1.

Tuesday, June 6

MUSCLES ON FIRE (NW3) was far back in the final turn, started to move, broke badly, recovered, set down and proved he was best with strong strides and huge finish.

THERAPUTIC (NW9000) went down the road and was and impressive winner over a sloppy track.

NORTHERN ASSASSIN A (NW6000) was wide passing the third marker, had cover in the final turn and finish full of pace but had far to come.

CAVIART SKYLER (NW6000) trailed to the lane at 33-1, swung wide, exploded home and earns a long look in next race or two.
