Pocono: Horses to watch from June 24 - June 27
Saturday, June 24
ARTISTIC MAJOR (NW22500) tucked near the quarter, pulled coming to the half, chased uncovered into a good clip and tired. Should improve against slightly weaker.
ALWAYS AT MY PLACE (WO25000) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the half, raced second over to good cover, came wide in the final turn with good finish.
DONTTELLMEAGAIN (HEMPT) was third over into the lane, found room between horses and closed gamely to earn second place and may not be 23-1 in next.
MISO FAST (HEMPT) tucked early, pulled to the half with wicked brush to the lead, got away from the prohibitive favorite at 12-1 and was wrapped up through the lane.
Sunday, June 25
VOXY (NW1FM) jogged wire to wire and will win a few more here or there.
HEIGHTEND SCRUTINY (NW5) was in a poor flow of cover but closed well at over 40-1 and has to be considered in next.
LADY OF HEAVEN (NW1FM) tucked, sat pocket to the three-quarters, pulled and popped to the top, proved second best when the favorite rallied through the lane.
KIRKTONS CREDIT (NW5) went to the lead, yielded sat pocket, got shuffled in the final turn, found some room late with solid finish.
Monday, June 26
POUNCEE HANOVER (CLMHCP10/12500) wired the field amazingly easy and it should be hard to deny him a few more wins.
SISTERS DELIGHT (NW2FM) was third over with strong finish between horses at over 80-1 in last outing.
WHATS THE WORD (2YO) won by a dozen in front end romp.
ROCKERS ALLEY (CLMHCP10/12500FM) was all but airborne in last rushing home from an impossible spot to just miss. Should take next outing.
WHAT A PEACH (CLMHCP15/20000) broke before the start in last and had a lot to do to get back. The beaten favorite was used and closed gamely but was nipped by fresther foe.
Tuesday, June 27
HALLIES COMET (NW3) had to go wide early to clear dead cover, cleared, chased well, gained third over cover and had to go wide. Finished well but had too much to do.
BAD BOY BRAD A (NW6000) beaten favorite had the worst cover and was forced to go wide to clear, kept coming and closed best of all but it was too much to ask.
ROCK THREE TIMES (NW6000) was stuck behind empty cover, went wide and closed well but had far to come.
RAY HALL (NW9000) left, tucked, pulled to the third panel, challenged the pacesetting favorite but was proven second best on the track and on the board.
