Pocono: Horses to watch from June 23 - June 26

Ken Walters|Jun 29, 2018

Saturday, June 23

MOTOWN N (NW12000) was a game uncovered to the pacesetting favorite in last.

CONTINUAL HANOVER (NW17500) tucked, brushed when the early action settled, met some pressure to the third panel but held sway in handy fashion.

HUG THE WIND N (NW17500) tucked early, got in traffic and was badly shuffled to the rear, rallied late but was too far to come. Beaten favorite earns a look in last and could atone in quick order.

DONTTELLMEAGAIN (BENFRANKLIN) closed strongest from third over at 20-1 in his elim and earned some respect for next outing.

Sunday, June 24

PETRONA BLUE CHIP (NW1FM) found a quick tuck, got shuffled along the way, pulled to chase as the winner brushed to the top, took another tuck past the third panel and came on gamely but was second best.

YUGE (NW6) left to the lead, yielded, got shuffled, saved to the final turn, slipped out at 12-1, followed the wide move of the odds-on favorite and was a strong closing second best.

TWISTERLAUXMONT (NW1) was long wide and bothered but kept committed to his move and gamed out a second to the favorite in most recent.

LEGION OF BOOM (CLMHCP30/40000) trailed to the half, accelerated wide, got stuck out there to the end and finished gamely but was unable to hold off the rally of the pocketsitting favorite.

Monday, June 26

ABSOLUTE INTENT (NW2) left to the top, yielded, got shuffled, went wide in the final turn, rallied well but had to far to come.

MASTER OF EXCUSES (CLMHCP10/12500) took the top, yielded, got shuffled when the favorite brushed, pulled, challenged gamely but was second best.

SCIROCCO DONNAHILL (NW2/2YOF) had her own clip and won impressively. Well bet favorite might be good enough to score more.

KONNINCHIWA (NW2) came wide in the final turn, rallied well and can take one with the right trip.

Tuesday, May 26

WHO DAT LOVE (CLM7500) was parked the mile, challenged the prohibitive favorite all the way, wore him down but tired. A better trip should be enough to pull off a mild surprise.

LADY DRIVER (NW2/2YOF) left to the top, yielded, got shuffled, pulled uncovered, challenged gamely at 23-1 but was outfinished by the game pacesetting favorite.

JUXTA COWGIRL (NW17500M) rushed to the top, set a pressed pace and held gamely while tiring over a track not meant for speed.

RISKY ROMANCE (NW6000M) was outkicked to the lead but grinded to the top, set a pressed pace and held to the last steps. Could get luckier in next.
