Pocono: Horses to watch from June 22 - June 25

Ken Walters|Jun 27, 2019

Saturday, June 22

K RYAN BLUECHIP (NW22500) was third over the final turn and closed stoutly but too far to come.

SOHO WALLSTREET A (NW17500) went to the lead, yielded, sat pocket, rallied gamely but was outkicked by the odds-on favorite.

PROOF (MAXHEMPT) won going away in his elim and will be hard to beat.

NOX VEGAS BLUECHIP (NW12000) was out the final turn but decided on an inside route finishing with good pace.

SOMEBEACH BARON (NW12000) pulled to the half, brushed to the lead at 25-1 and opened a couple but got nailed by the late rush of the well-bet second favorite.

Sunday, June 23

MUSCLE FASHION (NW7) made an early brush to the lead at 20-1 and proved second best to the late rally of the odds-on favorite.

BWTTER B ROLLING (NW3000) was parked to the lead, met pressure but held with authority.

ROCK THE TOWN (CLMHCP30/40000) rushed to the top, yielded, retook and put away a last quarter challenger from the impressive win.

STAR COMMANDER N (W4-7) finished full of pace from second over at 15-1 and must missed.

Monday, June 24

ONE MORE ROSIE (NW1FM) was second over with a serious chance but was bothered and forced wide, finished gamely but lost her best chance.

AFFAIR OF HONOR (NW3000) took the top, yielded, got shuffled in the final bend, tipped with cover and closed well at 28-1.

DUEL IN THE SUN (CLMHCP10/125000) tucked early, pulled uncovered to the half and challenged to the lane only to tire. Beaten favorite can atone with better trip.

BIG DUTCH (CLM7500) was parked a long way, rallied wide the final turn, closed gamely once into the lane.

Tuesday, June 25

MACH DEJA VU (NW6000) beaten favorite tucked, brushed when the speed seemed to settle, got caught in a duel to the death with the well bet second choice and battled to the end but tired.

BIG GAME HUNTER (NW6000) was parked the mile battling the speedy favorite to the lane before tiring.

GOLDEN TRICKS (NW4) was quite impressive winning with strong brush to the top passing the third panel.

INNER PEACE (NW3500) won easily in romp on the front end and should win another or two.
