Pocono: Horses to watch from June 15 - June 18

Ken Walters|Jun 21, 2024

Saturday, June 15

SKYWAY BALLISTIC (20/25000) rushed up, challenged the favorite at 27-1, wore that one down but was nailed by the late-closing winner.

PARTNER DOLAN (W4-7) pulled around weak stuff, tucked the pocket to the third panel, came up a half short to the favorite.

ERINWOOD YVES (NW4400) tucked early, rallied late to be second best at over 30-1 to the odds-on favorite.

SOUTHWIND GENDRY (NW4400) was parked to the lead but that was that in handy score.

STONE HANOVER (NW6500) put away two challengers en route to impressive score.

Sunday, June 16

GO WEST GO FAST (CLMHCP15/17000) brushed and crushed looking like there was plenty left.

ANGELS LEGACY (NW2FM) went to the lead, yielded for the pocket, proved to be second best to the pacesetting favorite.

DONTMESSWITHLES (CLM40000) went to the lead at 10-1, faced two challenges, dug in but was nailed by the tripped-out odds-on favorite.

UPALLNIGHT HANOVER (PaSS) yielded and was shuffled, tipped in the final turn at 44-1, closed with good trot and bears watching.

GREEN MERCEDES (STALLION) brushed and crushed in her division drawing away strongly.

SOUTH OF HEAVEN (CLM7500) was parked the mile, gained the lead late final turn and was a game second at 77-1 to the lead closing favorite.

Monday, June 17

ON TIME DELIVERY (NW2) tucked early, raced uncovered and rolled by the field to going away romp in latest.

SIX PACK TONY (NW1) won in a jog around the oval in latest as the board indicated he would do and wins another...or two.

COCKTAILWITHAKICK (NW2) was another impressive winner on what seemed like 'jogburger' day at the Downs.

LADYS IMAGE (NW2800) finished well with good wide rally at over 70-1 in latest to be second best to the prohibitive front-stepping favored winner.

BETTER MAKE A WISH (NW1) was parked to the lead, set a pressed pace and held for second to the late closing odds-on favorite.

LAST GOODBYE (NW1) was a late closing longshot in last to be in the 4-horse photo and deserves a look in next race or two.

Tuesday, June 18

NERIDAS WISH (NW2800M) rallied the final turn and won going away in quick score.

VOLCANIC BLUE CHIP (NW4) tucked, brushed and crushed in open-length jaunt. Youngster has the trainer and had the driver and was bet off the board.

SOUTHLAND CELSIUS (NW4) rushed up uncovered, challenged the pacesetting favorite but was second best.

EHRMANTRAUT (NW4900) closed with good pace from third over and cannot be ignored.

SHES A SHOE IN (NW2/2YOF) closed from second over to be easily second best on the board and the track.
