Pocono: Horses to watch from June 11 - June 17

Ken Walters|Jun 18, 2014

Wednesday, June 11

SMOKIN N GRININ (CLMHCP15/20000M) was parked to the lead, yielded for the pocket and was a game second.

CHAPLIN HALL (CLM15000) closed strong from third over in game effort.

IM SO HAPPY (CLM10000M) closed stoutly to get for second against the impressive winner.

HES LUCKY (CLM12500) proved he was more that lucky as he stormed home four wide and won going away.

Saturday, June 14

IM A NICE SKY (CLM10000) left, tucked, pulled passing the half, had to go wide to clear stalled cover, chased to the third panel, dueled bravely with the speed and nosed out a win.

RICKS CROSSROADS (CLM10000) was parked long and hard to the lead in last, battled intense press from two separate foes, dug in with guts and heart but could not last.

MILLENIUM WHEEL (CLM15000) was parked to the lead, faced pressure all the way from here to there, held off the challenger and drew off from the pocketed tripped-out favorite.

CLINT WESTWOOD (NW8) was a prime example of the pocket rocket in last and roared home with quick steps leaving more than enough for next time.

Sunday, June 15

SLEEK N WOW (NW4000) went down the road to the last steps when nailed by the low priced pocketstitter easily second best.

DRED HANOVER (NW1) put up all the numbers except the last one while pacesetting at 20-1 and proved second best.

DREAM SHARK (NW3) followed wide around poor cover in the final turn, ducked in heading home with good pace but had moved too late from too far.

MY FELLA (CLM5000) was parked to the quarter, took a tuck, pulled uncovered to the third panel, challenged hard all the way in game effort but was one neck too short at the wire.

Tuesday, June 17

SEAN LIAM O (NW2) was forced wide by early breaker, raced parked to the lead, set a pressed pace throughout and tired. Some racing luck might be all he needs.

GREAT SOUL (NW4000) rushed to the top, zipped quickly in the early going, yielded to the odds on winner, tired and broke. Too fast too soon spelled his doom.

CAMCRUISER HANOVER (NW5) crushed the field on the front end and keeps winning.

TAMASIN HALL (clmhcp20/25000) saved to the lane, tipped, rallied stongly but had too far to come.

PARK N ORCHARD (NW4000M) put in a brave, parked the mile uncovered effort in last and was a very game 2nd to pocket sitting winner.
