Pocono: Horses to watch from June 11 - June 14
Saturday, June 11
TOWN GOSSIP (NW9000) won easily in front-end romp and can take another.
CAVIART MAX (CLMHCP30/40000) brushed and crushed to add to winning streak and will be looking for fourth straight.
BROTHER JAMES (CLMHCP20/25000) was parked the mile, grinded up, challenged and dug in but tired. Beaten favorite will get a better trip in next.
THE DARK SHADOW (NW13000) set a pressed pace but was an impressive winning favorite and should be tough to catch in next.
ARCHANGEL THREE (CLMHCP29/25000) closed wide and well from third over in latest and bears watching.
Sunday, June 12
CRAZY SUPERSPORT (STALLION) rallied around weak, tucked, tipped late in the final turn, finshed full of trot and just missed.
MRMAYOR HANOVER (STALLION) was second over to great cover, tucked to the rail into the stretch as cover broke, rallied strongly and ran out of track.
ANNE BONNEY N (NW10000M) had cover, rallied with solid pace and just missed the pacesetting favorite on a day when speed won half the races on the card.
PUR MEA DOUBLE (PaSS) tucked early, had some traffic problems in the lane, found a route late between horses and just missed.
Monday, June 13
MGS BEST ERA EVA (NW1FM) was moving fast the final turn, almost lost the turn but straightened out and won impressively.
MONIS HEAVEN CENT (NW1) tucked, raced uncovered in solid effort but was outkicked by the pocket-sitting winner. Beaten favorite was too well bet to ignore in next.
LENDA HAND MAN (NW2) was inside heading home and finished with good pace. Might get it done in next.
TACHMON (NW4) brushed early and was a handy winner. Prohibitive favorite will be making money somewhere.
KEYSTONE THUNDER (NW6000) went off at nearly 18-1 in last. Tucked pocket and was second best at every call to the odds-on front-stepping winner.
Tuesday, June 14
MR MCDREAMY (CLM7500) tucked early, challenged the last quarter but was held at bay by pacesetting second choice on a day when speed was holding all day.
BLENHEIM (NW4000) veteran won too easily by many, many lengths to think he won't take another.
GRACE AND FAVOR (NW2FM) brushed early and crushed foes as the board indicated she would.
CAPTAINS PRINCESS (NW2FM) yielded, retook and drew off in the lane.
CANT SAY NO (NW6500) was parked the mile, challenged to the final turn, tired but hung around for a check.
