Pocono: Horses to watch from July 6 - July 9
Saturday, July 6
OUR REGAL IDEAL N (CLMHCP20/25000) tucked, sat to the final turn and pulled, rallied strong and just missed at 40-1.
ROCK THE TOWN (CLMHCP30/40000) went to the top, yielded, got shuffled, brushed and proved best.
ARCHANGEL THREE (NW6000) was parked, chased, challenged and tired. A better trip could be enough.
ALWAYS AT MY PLACE (NW12000) raced second over and won going away.
Sunday, July 7
QUATRAIN BLUE CHIP (NW4) broke before the start, rallied to race third over and full of pace.
BLUE IVY (NW4FM) prohibitive favorite brushed and crushed and should take another.
MIGHTY NICKY (NW3000) raced uncovered and proved a game second best on the track and on the board.
ALLGONOWHOA (CLM15000) followed wide, raced with cover the last panel and flattened out. Better racing luck could be enough.
Monday, July 8
REAL COOL SAM (PaStars) tucked early and pulled to the third panel, lost momentum in the final turn, carried wide but closed strong once back to business. Gotta trust his trainer to fix that and look for some more wins.
CANT SAY NO (PaStars) won again and will continue to make winning moves on a regular basis.
SHIPSHAPE (NW2) was used to the lead parked past the quarter, met pressure a long way, shook it off and drew away.
BIG DUTCH (CLM7500) was parked the mile, grinded throughout, rallied gamely and had aim but got nailed by the late rush of a fresher foe.
Tuesday, July 9
CHECKERED PAST (NW9500FM) tucked, sat to the lane, tipped and closed well.
SHEENAS BOY (NW4) wired the field and should win a few more races here and there.
SISTER SLEDGE (PaStars) tucked early, pulled to the half, came uncovered and won going away for another convincing score.
WORD OF HONOR (PaStars) was parked to the lead in her debut and held well when challenged the last quarter.
