Pocono: Horses to watch from July 3 - July 6

Ken Walters|Jul 08, 2021

Saturday, July 3

BENJIS BEST (CLMHCP30/40000) lukewarm favorite closed a ton from far back to win going away.

MISS MCKEE (NW12000) was hard pressed twice and tired while a well-bet second choice and cannot be ignored.

BLOOD LINE (NW6000) beaten favorite was motoring home but had too far to come from third over and can atone with better trip.

LOUD SPLASH (CLMHCP175/20000) another third over fast-finishing battler that should be getting a long look in next outing.

NOX VEGAS BLUECHIP (NW3000) tucked twice along the way and was in the pocket the final turn but tired.

Sunday, July 4

FASHIONWOODCHOPPER (NW2500) tucked, sat pocket and crushed with huge stretch rally.

DARTY (NW6000) went to the top, yielded, got shuffled, finished full of speed and nailed it. Should have an easier trip in next seeking another score.

STICK WITH ME KID (NW2500) yielded, retook and impressed in down the road romp.

HIGHVIEW CONALL N (CLMHCP10/125000) finished strong to just miss red-hot winning favorite and will be tough in next.

Monday, July 5

IDENTITY POLICE (NW1) broke before the start but rallied back in game uncovered effort to just miss. Beaten favorite can atone in next.

GLOBAL PANDEMIC (PaStars) has raced twice and won twice with last leaving plenty in the tank.

PAINT BY NUMBERS (NW1FM) was in the pocket and second best at every call to impressive front-stepping winner.

REGENTS HANOVER (NW2/2YO) tucked, got shuffled, rallied strong to win going away.

Tuesday, July 6

CAPASICINN (NW2FM) met some early pressure, shook it off and won impressively.

PREACHER MAN (NW2) tucked early, pulled in the final turn with good second-best rally.

MISS ZELDA (NW2FM) tucked to the quarter, rallied best of all but had too far to come.

DAGON HANOVER (NW4) was in a bad outer flow, rallied late but just missed.

BEYOND ORDINARY (W4-7) tucked early, pulled to the third panel and won going away.
