Pocono: Horses to watch from July 19 - July 22

Ken Walters|Jul 25, 2025

Saturday, July 19

BRODEUR (NW9500) was parked the mile, grinded all the way and rallied late to nail 3rd.

JAMAICAN ROCK A (W5-8) was second over and strongest in first try in the USA.

SEVEN REPS (W5-8) went to the lead, yielded to stablemate, sat pocket and tired in first start of the year. Should get a win soon.

HAPPY CHOPPER (NW4400) went down the road a handy winner and can take another.

Sunday, July 20

IDIOSYNCRATIC (CLMHCP20/25000) was second over to tiring cover, went wide, cleared, gained new cover when the pocket horse pulled, got up for third at 30-1 and could get lucky with a better trip.

ALWAYS B ROSEY (STALLION) tucked, got shuffled, finished well but too late from third over and should do better in next round.

LYONS I WANNA CHIP (STALLION) yielded, retook, held off a late challenger to win the quickest of the divisions on a night when speed was getting nailed.

IM A LOU LOU (PaStars) popped the pocket late final turn, took the lead and held safe under some urging to ward off the belated effort of the late-closing favorite.

Monday, July 21

BEGGARS BANQUET (NW2/2YO) ) came uncovered and was a handy winner in maiden score.

LIEGE (NW2/2YO) rallied with good trot racing second over to the top one and was second best in excellent effort.

I DID IT MYWAY (NW6500) pulled uncovered to the third all and won easily going away and should have another win or two up his sleeve.

DAVIDSEAMAN S (NW2/2YO) won like a champ in his debut and has more in store.

Tuesday, July 22

KATE (NW2/2YO) yielded early, pulled past the half, retook to the third panel and was wrapped up through the lane.

HAND OVER DAN (NW4800) wired the field easily and can take another.

SAN REMO HANOVER (CLMHCP75/10000) tucked early, pulled to the third panel, rallied wide all the way to the stretch before tiring.

SENSATIONAL (NW2) was parked and unhurried to the lead then jogged in easy romp.

BUSY MISS LISSY S (NW2/2YOF) left, tucked sat pocket and rolled home to win going away and had plenty left.
