Saturday, August 24
BELL I NO (NW9000) rushed to the top, yielded, got shuffled, pulled, chased to the third panel, tired in first race in nearly five months. Will be tighter in next and could get luckier.
ASAP HANOVER (NW13000) slipped out at the third panel, raced briefly third over, rallied wide the final turn finishing withgood pace but had too far to come. Beaten favorite will atone with better trip.
REGAL HOPE (NW3000) tipped into the lane, angled out, settled and rolled home fast but had too far to come and just missed.
ANWAR HANOVER (NW6000) followed wide to clear dead cover, followed new cover to the lane and closed stoutly at 18-1 to just miss.
Sunday, August 25
SCIROCCO ROB (NW17500) rushed to the top in quick quarter, yielded to the fast-footed favorite, chased quick numbers and rallied gamely but was second best despite putting in the fastest last quarter in the race.
ANNIE HILL (W4-7FM) rushed up the rail in quick last panel but just missed. Beaten favorite should atone in next.
ASKMELATER HANOVER (STALLION) put in a solid down the road effort in last but was nipped by the late rally of the odds-on favorite.
STICKLER HANOVER (STALLION) tipped the final turn, slipped wide with solid and game finish but just missed.
Monday, August 26
HOT SUMMER KNIGHT (NW6000) beaten favorite closed well from third over but the winner had gotten away.
KEYSTONE SERGEANT (NW3000) went wide from far back in the final turn, ducked in heading home and finished with good trot.
CASH FOR GOLD (NW3000) tucked twice and rallied gamely in the lane but came up short. Beaten favorite can atone with easier trip.
VENTURE PRINCESS (NW1FM) was an impressive first-time winner coming uncovered, challenged a long way and drew off heading home.
IDEAL HANNAH (NW2/2YOF) was following great cover when said cover broke, came on gamely at 10-1 to be second best and earns a look in next.
Tuesday, August 27
YOU SHOULD BE HERE (NW9000M) was buried on the rail, seemed to be rallying but was shut off and took up by mid lane. Had more than she got to show.
HIGH BLUE (CLMHCP10/12500) was parked and grinded to the top, stepped it up and was a handy down the road winner.
SHEZALLAPPLES A (NW3300M) closed strongest from third over but was a bit too late.
PRAIRIE EASTER (NW9000M) rallied late from 4th over and missed by a little. Beaten favorite suffered broken equipment along the line and may atone immediately.
