TOAST OF THE TOWN (HEMPT) was parked to the lead, put away a challenger by the lane and was an impressive winner in his very fast consolation.
NORDIC CATCHER S (SEBASTIAN) yielded to the half, pulled passing the three-quarters and a handy winner.
RESOLVE TO WIN (SEBASTIAN) pulled from the back of the pack past the half, rushed up and was second over to the top one heading home, closed well to be second best at 97-1 and bears watching.
NIX NACKEN (BEAL) tucked early and pulled at the half, challenged to the lane and was a handy winner in his consolation.
SANGRIA SUMMER (LYNCH) yielded, sat pocket and nailed the fleet-footed pacesetter in impressive time to take home the prize in the Final.
DARLINS ANGEL (LYNCH) put up the numbers, put away a last-panel challenger but was nailed by the pocket sitting winner in sharp just-miss effort.
MELILLO (HEMPT) got shuffled, had traffic in the lane, slipped out and ducked in late to finish full of pace but was second best.

TRULY UNBELIEVABLE (CLM12500) closed well from 2nd over to get up for 2nd at 34-1 and should be considered.
JK PEARL STONE (NW8500M) won going away from second over and should get tough again.
ONEMORE VOLO (W3-5) wired the field and was confidently handled holding off the odds-on favorite easily.
HEY PORTER (NW20500) tucked early, raced uncovered, was third in the photo battling the two favorites on a day when speed was holding.
PINK LUMIERE (CLMHCP75/10000M) wired the field winning fifth straight and was claimed--again.
VENDETTA BLUE CHIP (CLMHCP75/10000M) rallied wide the final turn to clear caving cover and finished full of trot to be second best to the top one and should find a win.
IWANNABEWITHYOU (NW2900) wired the field in speedy mile and can beat better with similar effort.
Tuesday, August 25
VALI HANOVER (CLM15000) yielded, retook the lead and was a handy winner. Got claimed in race with 4 horses claimed and wins again.
AIRY SHADOW (CLM7500) met early pressure, put it away and was a handy winner in quick mile.
CARDS A FLYIN (CLM7500) tucked pocket, was second best to the top one with the rest of the field far back.
KOVU AS (NW2500) tucked pocket but moved quickly to the lead at 15-1, battled with the prohibitive favorite in game effort but was second best.
BEGGIN FOR BACON (CLM10000) rallied a long way going wide to clear struggling foes but flattened out into the lane. Similar move could work in next race or two.
HAPPY PAPI (2YOF) put up some quick numbers as the second favorite but could not hold off the pocket sitting odds-on favorite.
PAPIS BRIDE (2YOF) was the pocket sitting favorite who made the top one second best in solid speedy mile.
PAPIS PISTOL (NW5500) was forced wide early going for the lead, got there, set a good clip and was easily the best.
BLUE HUNT (NW5500) rallied well the last 3/8 to be second best to the winning favorite mentioned above.
