Pocono: Horses to watch from August 2 - August 5

Ken Walters|Aug 08, 2025

Saturday, August 2

WATTASTORY (CLMHCP20/25000) set the pace under pressure a long way, dug in but was nailed by the tripped-out pocket sitting odds-on favorite.

ROCKIN JUKEBOX (NW125000) was a handy down the road winner in latest and will be the one to beat in next.

SUPER DUPER COOPER (W5-8) sat pocket, gained late to be second by a neck to the front-stepping prohibitive favorite.

BULLVILLE STEPHANE (CLMHCP30/40000) was behind folding cover, brushed wide, paced strong to the lead and won going away in impressive score.

CONGRESSIONAL (NW17500) finished strong to nail first place but was taken down for an early interference.

Sunday, August 3

OSTRO HANOVER (NW4800) finished wide and late with good pace on a card where front-enders won nearly every race.

HAPPY CHOPPER (NW6600) sat pocket second best at every call to the pacesetting offs-on favorite.

AL PAPI (PaStars) was second over and second best to his wire to wire winning favored stablemate in last.

PA LUKE (Stallion) beaten favorite challenged the pace but could not get there but should get it done in next.

Monday, August 4

CANT SAY NO (CLMHCP10/125000) faced early pressure, put the challenger away, met another challenge the last quarter, tired but dug in for second in the photo. It was a bad day for speed so do not ignore this one in next.

MORNING HAS BROKEN (NW7500M) left well to the top, yielded, sat pocket, got a bit of a shuffle at head stretch but tipped and closed well to win going away.

LALDY ALMAS (NW1500) was second over the last quarter and finished with good trot to be second in the photo and deserves a look in next.

PARK OFFICIAL (CLMHCP75/10000) was stung early getting parked to the top, went down the road to the last step. Beaten favorite can atone in next.

STEVIE RAY (NW4) longshot pacesetter was challenged twice and got nailed in the last steps over a tiring track. Do not overlook in next race or two.

Tuesday, August 5

PERFIDIOUS CROWN (NW2FM) put away the favorite's last-quarter challenge and was a handy well-bet second favorite winner in impressive time.

ALL TIME TROT S (NW2/2YOF) went down the road and was a confident on-own winner in last.

STRIKING NASS (NW2) tucked early, challenged the pacesetting odds-on favorite and was second best in good effort.

R CEE CEE (NW2) went down the road and was much the best in easy score.

HUNTING AS (CLMHCP15/20000) was third over behind the brushing winner, second over after the lead changed and rallied to be second best. Do not ignore in next race or two.
