BUCKEYE PRESIDENT (CLM15000) tipped into the lane, set down and closed strongly at 16-1 to be second best to the pocket-sitting winning favorite.
SKYWAY BOOMER (CLM20000) well bet second choice was buried on the rail, looked for room and found it too late.
SKYFUL OF LIGHTERS (CLHCP30/40000) was looped as he moved to retake at 15-1 and got parked, challenged to the lane and weakened in the late stages.
Sunday, August 12
METEORIC (NW6) sat to the rear at 58-1, moved coming to the third panel closed ground, went wide into the final turn, flattened out but held for a payday. Can get luckier with better-timed move.
HURRICANE BEACH (W4-6) broke before the start, disappeared from view, rallied strongly through traffic to gain the lead passing the quarter, set a fast clip to the half, tired, battled the third panel and finally gave way. Beaten favorite can atone with better racing luck.
GORDY AGAIN (NW1FM) tucked early, pulled past the half, came uncovered, challenged the pacesetting odds-on favorite but was a game second best at 15-1.
CON AIR HALL (NW3000) came wide to clear tired cover, cleared, chased, tucked the pocket, came again in the lane but was second best on the board and on the track.
Monday, August 13
SEAS IDEAL (CLMHCP125/15000M) yielded, retook and waved goodbye to the field winning as much the best.
ABC MUSCLES BOY (NW6000) was parked to the lead, grabbed control and rolled away cruising through the lane.
ARMAGEDDON SEELSTER (NW2) rushed to the top, yielded to the half, retook and was an impressive winner.
NEW JERSEY VIKING (NW3300) tucked early, avoided early traffic, brushed and crushed.
SONNET GRACE (PaSS) came uncovered over the sloppy track, carried wide in the final turn, lost valuable ground, came back with good trot but too late. Beaten favorite could atone in quick order.
Tuesday, August 14
TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN (NW4) left well to the top and went down the road proving to be a very handy winner.
KEYSTONE I WISH (NW3000M) was parked the mile uncovered, challenged the favorite and was a very game second best.
PAINT THE CORNERS (Stallion) left well, took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and chased the favorite to the wire putting a dent in the final margin.
MIMISSPEARLOFLINDY (Stallion) was a very wrapped-up wire to wire winner.
