Pocono: Horses to watch from August 10 - August 13
Saturday, August 10
EUROBOND (NW12500) veteran was a dominant winner in last just as he was bet to be and would be no surprise again.
TRU BLU HYPNOTIC (COND) surprisingly was only the third favorite as he scored his 6th win in a row from off the pace.
DEALINE HALL (W4-7) was parked the mile, challenged the favorite a long way before tiring and bears watching.
BRUE HANOVER (NW20000) finished wide and fast in last to just miss.
BELLISSIMO FACE S (NW9500) was third over the final turn with strong finish and should not be ignored.
HILL OF A WISH (NW2/2YO) tucked avoiding serious early trouble, tipped the final turn, closed well just missing in quick mile.
Sunday, August 11
LEFTIES RIGHTIES (STALLION) wired the field handily in his division and will be hard to catch with similar effort.
QUIKSILVR BLUECHIP (AHDC) sat to the final turn, tipped, roared by and won by open lengths.
FATHER TJ (PaSS) well-bet second choice to to the top passing the quarter, put away the challenge from the betting favorite the last quarter and will be tough to overhaul.
THIRD EDITION (COND) scooted up the rail quickly to pass a bunch of foes in last to be third best.
BLACK CHEVRON N (COND) flashed some solid late pace between horses to be second in the same race.
Monday, August 12
WISH LIST (NW4) tucked early, rallied late and should not be ignored.
POISONPOKE (NW2) went down the road but was second best. Beaten favorite should be a threat to atone in next.
ROYAL DESIRE (NW2) was barely a thought to the final turn, rallied wide and finished with good pace. Can get moving a little earlier in next race or two and get lucky,
KNICKKNACK HANOVER (NW1300) left, challenged, had to take a seat, got shuffled the final turn, rallied gamely but was necked in the last step.
SANTA CATERING (NW2/2YOF) yielded for the pocket, pulled the final turn and rolled by with plenty left.
ATTA BOY ABE (NW2/2YO) tucked the pocket, pulled and took the lead, met the odds-on winner's stretch pressure and proved second best.
Tuesday, August 13
IMSTAYINALIVE (NW2800) wired the field drawing away and can take more.
DOUBLE DEALING (NW4500) was parked the mile, challenged a long way before tiring by headstretch.
THE MISSAUCKLAND N (NW2800M) tucked, sat three-hole, rallied uncovered to challenge, put away the leader but was outfinished by the tripped-out pocket sitting odds-on favorite.
THEBEAUDENBLUES N (NW4) rallied wide around folding cover, challenged the final turn but weakened to be second best in good try.
STEWARDOFTHELAND (NW4400) buried the field in very fast time for this level and can beat better in next effort.
