Pocono: Horses to watch from Aug. 12 - Aug. 15

Ken Walters|Aug 16, 2017

Saturday, August 12

RUFO (NW6000) was third over in a poor flow, had to go wide, spent some time wide and flattened out a bit.

AGENT O (PaSS) tucked, let the speed settle, brushed and was best. On a roll at the present time and should continue to win.

ITS COMPLICATED (NW120000) brushed to the third panel, took the lead and dug in while tiring. Should be tighter and luckier in next race or two.

CATHERINESDIAMOND (CLM12500) tucked early, came uncovered, challenged but was beaten to the engine as the leader bore out and backed through the field, challenged the new pacesetter but tired.

Sunday, August 13

TORI HANOVER (Stallion) had cover, came wide, closed well to be second best to prohibitive favorite.

TRACEUSE HANOVER (Stallion) closed fastest of all from third over to earn a game second at 30-1.

BIG BAD MIKE (NW5) was buried to the lane, slipped cleared and finished with a rush to gain third.

FREAKONOMICS (Stallion) wired the field in quick mile.

Monday, August 14

WONDERFUL WORLD (NW2FM) rallied wide in the final turn with good finish.

JUST THAT (CLM7500) wired the field under pressure from the half and was totally wrapped up.

SORTIE HANOVER (NWW) rushed to the top and never looked back.

POINTE OF HONOUR (NW3000) was buried to the lane, found room and closed willingly.

Tuesday, August 15

SIDEWALK DANCER (Stallion) was looped to the lead, took over passing the quarter and put the field away convincingly.

BELLES DELIGHT (Stallion) had the lead easily as the rail horse broke, yielded, sat patiently to the third call, pulled and rolled by.

SANDYS BEACH (Stallion) came uncovered passing the three-quarters, rallied to the leader and went by with strong pace.

SOMEBADDUDE (2YO) took a moment to tuck at the quarter but came right back out, challenged to the land and tired but hung around for the photo finish as only 1 length separated the first five.

WHEN SPARKS FLY (NW6000M) left, tucked, got shuffled, angled free of traffic into the lane and finished well but just missed.
