Pocono: Horses to watch from April 27 - April 30

Ken Walters|May 01, 2019

Saturday, April 27

MAJOR PEPPER (CLM15000) closed well but late from the back of the pack and bears watching.

WAGON MASTER (CLMHCP25/35000) yielded, retook, set a good clip and was an outstanding winner.

IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW (NW13000) pulled uncovered to the half, challenged the pace to the lane but tired. Should get luckier in next race or two.

ONE TO DRAW TO (NW9100) was parked the mile, challenged to the third panel before tiring.

Sunday, April 28

PEMBROKE WILDCAT (NW3000) was nowhere at the half, rallied the last three-eighths and might be more inspired in next race or two.

CAPTAIN MALICIOUS (NW4) romped on the front end in first race of the year and will be tough to beat in next.

HICKFROMFRENCHLICK (NW4) stablemate of the above also wired the field drawing away handily in first race of the year.

QUINCY BLUE CHIP (NW6) beaten favorite rallied late after racing second over to slow-moving cover and may atone in quick order.

Monday, April 29

BRANQUINGHO (NW1) another handy winner from the Schnittker barn making first start of the year.

IM NO PANSY (NW1) came uncovered and proved second best to the top one at a whopping 60-1.

NEXTROUNDSONME (NW) tucked early, pulled near the third panel and rallied powerfully to win going away from convincing maiden score.

CARTIER ZETTE (NW6000) had cover the final turn and finished well at over 40-1. Do not ignore.

Tuesday, April 30

MUSCLE M UP (NW4) first start of the year was a pocket sitting going away romp and there should be more wins in store.

NORTHERN ASSASSIN A (NW3100) went down the road at 6-1 only to be outkicked by the pocket sitting favorite and was second best.

DENVER SEELSTER (NW3100) was parked the mile, challenged to the lane, tired at 12-1 and could get luckier with better trip.

CAVIART ALLY (WO25000M) took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and could not get there in first race of the year. Beaten favorite will be tighter in next.
