Pocono: Horses to watch from April 26 - April 30

Ken Walters|May 02, 2014

Saturday, April 26

VICTORIOUS WILWIN (CLM10000) Put in a very game effort chasing the favored winner to the wire and earns look facing similar.

CEREAL LOVER (CLM15000) Left, tucked, pulled, challenged the final turn, ducked in heading home and kept up the pressure but was second best.

SAMS ESCAPE (NW20000) Granted, he had great cover, but he finished strongly to lose only to the pocket tripped favorite.

ADDWATER (CLM25000) Followed wide from third over and finished with a full head of steam but also came up short to a pocket-riding short priced foe.

Sunday, April 27

RAGING WITH PACE (CLM5000) Tucked, sat three holed and proved to be easily best of the rest as the two short priced leaders battled for top honors.

BROADWAY SARAH (NW1FM) Looked like she wanted to race throughout the mile and closed well. She should score soon.

REAL CATCH (NW1) Put in a strong finish from far back and will find a winning spot in near future.

CHERRY TREE NICOLE (CLM7500) Had too far to come in last or so it seemed but managed to unleash a powerful finish to get 'er done and prove that too far is not always far enough.

CAMS MACHARENA (CLM15000FM) Had the pocket and rallied gamely to the end but could not get by the streaking winner who took her third in a row.

Tuesday, April 29

WALK THE LINE (NW2) Won strongly on the front end over a sloppy track that was wearing out most pacesetters.

LAURENT HANOVER (NW4000) Took the top, yielded and was shuffled, rallied gamely up the rail but had a bit too far to come.

HIGHLAND YANKEE (NW4000) Trotted down the road as far as he could over the tiring track but could not last. Beaten favorite will be dynamite over the fast track.

BLOMKVIST (NW7000) Was parked the mile uncovered grinding up to prompt the pace but tired. Will be tougher with better trip.

Wednesday, April 30

STITCH IN TIME (NW4) Had the winner's cover the last panel and closed well to be second best.

SAYITALL BB (NW4FM) Crushed her foes down the road in last and wins again.

DANCING DYNAMITE (NW4) Won first start of the year convincingly and should follow up with more.

WINDSUN KENDA (CLMHCP7500/10000M) Rallied wide into the lane and closed well for second as the winner stormed away.
