Pocono: Horses to watch from April 26 - April 29

Ken Walters|May 02, 2025

Saturday, April 26

DP REALORDEAL (CLM20000) rallied wide around a fading foe, cleared, rushed to challenge but was second best to the pacesetting favorite.

OH OPHELIA (WEISS) well-bet 2nd choice closed well from third over to be second best to the even-money front-stepping favorite.

JORDANNA HANOVER (WEISS) sat last to the third call, rallied well the final quarter and was a good closing second at 39-1.

ALEGRTA HANOVER (WEISS) came uncovered as the prohibitive favorite and won going away.

CERVI (WEISS) challenged the odds-on favorite leading favorite but was second best at over 25-1.

RUSH IN (W4-7) rolled along at own pace and drew off powerfully to win by 8.

Monday, April 28

GOLAZO (NW4) went down road road to the last step at 14-1 getting nailed by the late-closing well-bet second choice.

BETTOR NOT (NW1) was shown no mercy, got parked the mile, pressed to the lane before faltering.

R JEZZY (WEISS) closed well to just miss on a night when either the speed or the pocket won almost all the races.

TIE THE KNOT (NW1FM) was a handy front end winner as the prohibitive favorite and should have another win or two in the near future.

COMBATIVE (NW1) went down the road putting away a last turn challenger and had plenty left.

Tuesday, April 29

BEN ROCKIN (CLM125000) saved, tipped into the lane, rallied well and just missed at 17-1.

MAX (CLMHCP25/30000) was second over the final turn, ducked in heading home, had aim but flattened late.

THE AMERICAN EAGLE (CLMHCP15/20000) tipped to the third panel, brushed to the lead and was an impressive winner.

WARRAWEE XTREME (NW4400) went down the road at 14-1, held to the last step but was nailed by the even-money favorite on the wire.

THIRD EDITION (CLM15000) rallied wide from third over the final turn and finished with good pace. Bears watching in next race or two.
