Pocono: Horses to watch from April 13 - April 16

Ken Walters|Apr 17, 2019

Saturday, April 13

HITMAN HILL (NW17500) rushed to the top, yielded, got shuffled when the lead changed, tipped, went wide around final turn cover and won going away in strong effort.

DAKOTA JACK (NW9200) left strong, took the top, yielded, sat pocket, took the lead but was nailed at the wire.

SOMEWHERE FANCY (NW13000) was parked to the lead, yielded, retook to the third panel, got away and held strongly.

DUEL IN THE SUN (CLM10000) came wide in the final turn with good finish but had far to come.

Sunday, April 14

MY LINDY WINNER (WEISS) brushed early, took the top and proved much the best.

DANCE HALL BOUNCER (NW6) left to the top, yielded, sat pocket and won going away in strong performance.

BRACKLEY BEACH (NW4) left well, took the top, yielded and sat pocket second at every call and on the board.

ALWAYS CLOSE (NW4) finished strong between horses and passed all but the winner.

Monday, April 15

BLUE SWAN (NW3000) tucked early, pulled and brushed as the speed settled, met mild pressure to the lane and held well.

FIRE N WOODSHED (NW2) wired the field with some light taps through the lane and made it 2-for-2 to begin career.

HOT SEAT (NW1) yielded, retook and was an impressive winner.

TOUGH AS TUFF (NW1) rushed to the top, yielded and was second best at every call it what looked like a two horse training mile.

Tuesday, April 16

TEQUILA MONDAY (NW22500M) returned to Pocono on Tuesday and was an impressive front-end winner looking like there was more in the tank.

WINNERESS (NW11000) was looped to the lead, got to the top, met modest pressure but was more than up to the challenge and drew off.

WICK N (NW6000) tucked early, sat to the final turn, pulled and closed easily for 2nd best.

SIR JOHN F (NW6000) brushed and crushed and will win a few more here or there.

ROSE RUN TONI (NW12000M) closed well from second over and bears watching.
