Curtis Salonick Giveitgasandgo was the fastest sire stakes winner at 1:57 1/5, and was the third of trainer John Butenschoen's winners

Trainer John Butenschoen sent out the winner in the first three of five Pennsylvania Sire Stakes sections for 2-year-old colt trotters on Sunday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

Simply Volo was Butenschoen's first victor, with driver Corey Callahan working out a second-over trip, and then firing him home in 29 3/5 to win by a length in 1:58 4/5 over the sloppy Pocono surface. He's Gone (David Miller) and Achille Duharas (Andrew McCarthy) were second and third.

A gelding by Crazed, Simply Volo is owned by Kentuckiana Racing Stable, David J. Miller, Lawrence Means, and Eugene Schick. Simply Volo, a $30,000 buy at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, won for the second time from four starts, and the winner's share of the $37,540 purse boosted his earnings to $34,935. Simply Volo is the first foal out of the Donato Hanover mare Sterling Volo, a half-sister to the likes of Springtime Volo (Classic Photo, $379,630). A 2-1 shot, Simply Volo paid $6.60.

Wiagram Hanover, with co-owner Mike Simons driving, followed his stablemate to the winner's circle in the next race as he brushed from fifth to first on the way to 57 4/5 half and went on to prevail by 2 3/4 lengths in 1:58. Meme Hanover (Charlie Norris) rallied for second and Phi Alpha (Matt Kakaley) checked in third.

Christopher Giaccio and Albert Abdala III are the other co-owners of Wiagram Hanover, an Andover Hall gelding who is now two-for-five in the win column with $29,995 banked. Wiagram Hanover, who was taken out of the Standardbred Horse Sale for $12,000, is out of the Yankee Glide mare Wishful Me ($184,065) and is a full brother to the likes of Tweet Me ($360,728). Sent off at 3-1, Wiagram Hanover returned $8.40.

Giveitgasandgo (Callahan) completed the Butenschoen hat trick, leading through stations of 29 1/5, 59, and 1:28 on his way to a 1:57 1/5 decision. He beat runner-up Monsta Hanover (Kakaley) by five lengths, with Vegas Chuck (Mike Wilder) back in third.

The victorious Yankee Glide colt is owned by Harmony Oaks Racing Stable, David J. Miller, Lawrence Means, and Vip Internet Stable LLC, who shelled out $32,000 for him at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. Giveitgasandgo made his fourth appearance in the winner's circle in six tries, and he now has put away $69,078. He is out of the Andover Hall mare Mazda Hanover, making him a full brother to Smoother Ride ($384,602).

Muscles Jared and driver John Campbell finally derailed the Butenschoen train in the fourth flight, winning by 4 1/2 lengths in 1:58 after he looped from fourth to first beyond the 29 2/5 first quarter. Andy M (Kakaley) took second, ahead of the Butenschoen-trained Dover Dan (Callahan).

George Ducharme trains Muscles Jared, a gelded son of Muscle Massive, for owner Alfred Ross. Muscles Jared picked up his third tally from five trips behind the gate, and he has now earned $46,482. Muscles Jared, who is out of the unraced Kadabra mare Tetiana, was dispatched as the 1-2 favorite and paid $3.00.

Snowstorm Hanover (Kakaley) completed the sire stakes winners, turning a second-over ride into a two length verdict in 1:57 3/5. Soho Hanover (Campbell) took second, and You Cant Habit (Brett Miller) secured third.

Snowstorm Hanover, a colt by Muscle Massive, is trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Frank Baldachino, Phil Collura, and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. It was the second win of Snowstorm Hanover's career in five starts. He was purchased for $23,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale and is out of the Andover Hall mare Snow Angel Hanover, a half-sister to the likes of Mymomsablizzard (CR Excalibur, $480,909). The even-money choice, Snowstorm Hanover returned $4.00 to win.
