Pocono logo

MEET STATS: 51 - 182 / $265.30 (-$98.70)
BEST BETS: 8 - 13 / $21.70 (-$4.30)
SPOT PLAYS: 1 - 13 / $4.60 (-$21.40)
BEST BET -
NICHOLAS BEACH (11th)
SPOT PLAY - LOOKATMYART (9th)

Race 1 - F&M NW6400L5 Pace

(4) ALEXIS FAITH has quite a bit of back-class and maybe picked up some confidence in those races up at Vernon. She returns to Pocono at a lower level than when she was last seen here. (5) JUSLIKEAQUEEN drops a notch after finishing fourth against NW9000L5's last Sunday and is probably the one to beat. (2) DISTURBED HANOVER made up spots and ground in the final quarter a week ago and moves inside this week for a trainer-driver who won a race on 9-20.

Race 2 - NW9000L5 Trot

(6) MIGHTY SURF romped in her debut for trainer Jake Huff down at Harrah's Philadelphia, picking up a lifetime mark. I'll hope she's that sharp again and use. (8) ALEXANDRIA HANOVER gets to move down a notch on the class ladder here and adds Marcus Miller. She was a good second two back in the NW10000L5 class at Harrah's Philadelphia. (1) DYNAMIC EDGE has been facing better at Harrah's Philadelphia and Yonkers recently and lands in a more reasonable spot here. He was second, just half a length behind the winner, in a NW12000L5 back on August 15.

Race 3 - F&M NW3000L5 Pace

(1) BRING ME DIAMONDS takes another shot against NW3000L5's tonight after getting up for third last week. She has the pole again and was Marcus Miller's choice. (4) RHYME N ROLL raced better when she switched pilots to John Kakaley last Sunday. He's in the bike again, and maybe she can take another step forward. (2) TRAFFIC JAM sticks at the bottom level after a fourth a week ago and is reunited with Tyler Buter this time. He guided her to a solid third-place finish on September 6.

Race 4 - NW4/50000LT Trot

(4) SOLAR pounced in the lane last Sunday to score in a NW4 race and has a chance to race in the same class tonight. Erv Miller's horses seem to be firing everywhere right now, so I'll stick with him. (1) CELEBRITY MIRACLE returns to Pocono tonight. He owns a couple of recent wins at this level with Kevin Wallis driving, and he's back to pilot him again. (9) P L NOTSONICE stayed flat on 9-6, so that was a step in the right direction. The filly she was second to on that day, Spoiled Princess, won a division of the Buckette at the Delaware County Fair on the 23rd of September, so maybe that's a key race.

Race 5 - NW3000L5 Pace

(2) GARRETT'S GUIDE moves over from the NW4 class to this NW3000L5 tonight. He won at Pocono earlier this year and certainly catches a group here he can wake up against with a good effort. (4) SOMETIMESAWINNER hasn't done much since joining the Bendis barn but does get to drop to the bottom level and moves to a mid-pack post after having the seven-hole last time out. (6) TRENTE DEO finished second in his first chance against NW3000L5's on 9-8 and then third most recently. I think he's logical based on those two efforts.

Race 6 - NW3100L5 Trot

(4) HANOVERS BEST may have needed that last race at Freehold after being idle since early July, and she was at the NW6 class when last seen at Pocono. The Harmon barn has been sending out some winners lately. (6) BIG BILL BREEZE had little chance from post nine most recently at Tioga but finished second prior to that and took his life's mark at Pocono in 2019. (1) CHAPTER FASHION couldn't stay flat back on the 19th of September but does get significant post relief on this occasion. If he could put in a mile like that one two back against NW6000L5's, he would be a contender.

Race 7 - F&M NW3000L5 Pace

(5) CASIE'S BELIEVER raced in pretty tight quarters in the lane last Sunday, and I'm not sure she ever had full clearance. I'm willing to give her another chance tonight against NW3000L5's. (3) WOODMERE OLEKSIAK put in improved efforts when she dropped down at the Meadowlands and gets some additional relief here. (4) ELLA IS AWESOME got a fourth against $15,000 claiming handicap foes most recently, and this is likely a softer spot. Matt Kakaley picks up the drive this time.

Race 8 - NW3100L5 Trot

(8) KREDIT KARMA narrowly missed on the 21st when he slid down to the NW3000L5 level, falling short of the win by a nostril. He moves out to post eight, but I like the early speed that he's shown, and I think he can overcome the draw. (3) FREDDIE MAC came in fourth in a NW9000L5 contest when last at Pocono on 8-23 and draws a much better post than the seven he had up at Saratoga earlier this month. (1) CELEBRITY LOVER closed well in the final quarter in his third start out of the Pellegrino barn. Simons has the call again after driving him in that mile.

Race 9 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(5) LOOKATMYART was the winner of a NW4 race at Yonkers on August 25. She tossed in a bit of a clunker over there in her last appearance, but I'll hope for a quick rebound with George Napolitano Jr. taking over the drive. (7) ROCK STAR MELINDA aimed very high last Sunday, taking on a seasoned group of hard-knocking mares. I think this is a much more logical spot tonight, and she's one of the threats. (2) DEE DEE KAY didn't have a very smooth journey a week ago and tired in the last quarter. Perhaps Marohn Jr. can work out a better trip for her this time.

Race 10 - F&M NW17500L5 / NW60000 in 2020 Pace

(4) PAMMY JO comes in from Yonkers in good form, having finished out of the top three just once in her last six. She has a pair of recent victories in their NW17500L5 class and was third behind the classy Alexa's Power most recently. (6) ITS MESMERISE N saw her win streak come to an end last Sunday when she ended up first-over. She moves outside on the gate for the first time in a bit, so maybe Buter looks for a covered trip. (2) JUXTA COWGIRL took advantage of a pocket trip last Sunday to upset Its Mesmerise N, and her ability to fire out quickly might land her the same journey here.

Race 11 - NW4/50000LT Pace

(4) NICHOLAS BEACH owns an undefeated record this year and has only been beaten once lifetime, that being in his first start. He's been victorious at Pocono before and enters off a clear win over NW5's at Harrah's Philadelphia. (1) TITO ROCKS won three back over NW2's at Pocono and gets out of the stakes company he's faced since that. That was an impressive rally to get a check in the PA Sire Stakes final, and he has George Napolitano Jr. to drive again. (5) BILLY LINCOLN N picked up a win at this level at Pocono in August. He's draw outside the two main dangers in here, but did show an ability to race from off-the-pace last time at Harrah's Philadelphia.

Race 12 - NW9000L5 Trot

(7) UNCLE HANOVER cruised over that NW6000L5 field last Sunday. He steps up here, but he showed sharp speed in that victory and adds Napolitano Jr. in the bike. (4) HASHTAGMADEYALOOK has a best finish of fourth since being claimed but has both post and class relief tonight. (2) MORAIRTIME is a question mark. She put in one of her good efforts a week ago, but hasn't been able to duplicate them recently. If she's on her best behavior again, she's a threat.

Race 13 - F&M NW10000L5 / NW7 or 80000LT Pace

(6) ATTENTION HANOVER ships back to Pocono here after racing one time down at Harrah's Philadelphia. She was a gaining second to Its Mesmerise N in a NW17500L5 race on 9-6, so this is some class relief. (1) CRAZY CUTE took all the wagering support last Sunday and came up just a short nose after a good battle with Oceania. She might have a little better price to offer on this occasion. (5) BLACKWELL RUBY IR was on a real hot streak until she had to exit the NW6 level and hasn't been as sharp since. I'll put underneath.

Race 14 - NW4/50000LT Pace

(3) TREVOR ONE finished a strong second to Rock Me Hard in a NW4 try last Sunday. I think this is a bit softer bunch and will give him another shot on top. (6) WARRAWEE VELOCE had two seconds and a win in his last three, then competed against a tough bunch in the Keystone Classic at The Meadows. He got a check in that test and lands in a more reasonable spot tonight. (1) A BETTOR BEACH kept Anthony Napolitano over a bunch of others in here, so maybe that's a hint that he's set for a good performance. He did finish third in a fast mile at Pocono in July.
