Pocket Gift wins three-horse photo in It's Binn Too Long

Pocket Gift outfought even-money favorite Practical Ideas in deep stretch to reach the wire first by a neck in Saturday night’s $50,950 It’s Binn Too Long Stakes for West Virginia-bred 3-year-old fillies at Charles Town.

Ridden by J.D. Acosta for trainer Jeff Runco and owner Silverton Hill, Pocket Gift ($6.20) ran 4 1/2 furlongs in 52.97 seconds for her third win in nine starts. Her best previous finish in a stakes was a third in last fall’s Maryland Million Lassie.

Practical Ideas, who led until the last jump, was a neck in front of Joanne Elizabeth, who was bidding for her fifth straight win.
