Trainer Todd Pletcher had seven of his Breeders’ Cup starters arrive at Churchill Downs from New York on Tuesday, led by Quality Road (Classic) and Malibu Prayer (Ladies’ Classic), who shipped in by van at 4 a.m. Five more Pletcher runners came in on a flight that landed in Louisville at 1:40 p.m., a group that included Rose Catherine (Turf Sprint), Life At Ten (Ladies’ Classic), Stay Thirsty (Juvenile), Uncle Mo (Juvenile), and R Heat Lightning (Juvenile Fillies). The flight was 40 minutes late after being re-routed to avoid a severe storm that blew through the local area about noon.
