Pioneerof the Nile will stand for $110,000 at WinStar Farm

Classic sire Pioneerof the Nile will stand for $110,000 in 2019 to lead a strong branch of his sireline on WinStar Farm's expanding roster.
Pioneerof the Nile, by Empire Maker, is the sire of 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, fellow Eclipse Award champion juvenile and 2017 Preakness Stakes runner-up Classic Empire, and 2014 Preakness third-place finisher Social Inclusion.
WinStar stands another classic-producing son of Empire Maker in Bodemeister, who was represented by 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming in his first crop. Both will stand for $25,000 in 2019. Always Dreaming will be one of two new stallions on WinStar's roster for the season, as Good Samaritan, a graded stakes winner on both dirt and turf, will debut at $12,500.
Successful sires More Than Ready and Speightstown will both stand for $80,000, while stalwart Tiznow and classic sire and leading broodmare sire Distorted Humor will both stand for $50,000. The roster also includes Super Saver at $30,000, Carpe Diem and Exaggerator at $25,000, Constitution, Outwork, and Overanalyze at $15,000, Congrats at $12,500, Fed Biz, Speightster, and Tourist at $10,000, Commissioner and Daredevil at $7,500, and Revolutionary at $5,000. A fee for Paynter, recently represented by his first career Grade 1 winner in Breeders' Futurity upsetter Knicks Go, will be announced at a later date.
“WinStar stallions have enjoyed another exceptional year and we’re proud of their success across the board, both on the racetrack and in the sales ring,” WinStar executive Elliott Walden said in a release. “We’re excited about the future and our mission is to continue offering breeders industry-shaping sire power through our diverse roster.”
