Pick six carryover at $80,363 for Saturday

DEL MAR, Calif. – Saturday’s $2 pick six at Del Mar begins with a carryover of $80,363 from Friday’s opening day of the summer meeting.
The pick six carryover was clinched after the fourth of six pick six races on Friday. Many tickets were out of contention after Strident Miss ($82) won the fifth race, the first division, as the second-longest shot in a field of 10.
Saturday’s pick six covers the sixth through 11th races on a program that begins at 2 p.m. Pacific. The sixth race has a post time of 4:40 p.m.
The pick six consists of three races on dirt and three on turf. The pool of new money may surpass $450,000.

The sixth is a maiden race for 2-year-old California-breds at five furlongs with a field of nine, followed by an allowance race on turf at 1 1/16 miles that drew 10 entrants.
The eighth race is the Grade 2 San Diego Handicap with a field of seven led by Journalism, the 2025 Preakness Stakes winner. Journalism is even money on the morning line, the shortest price of any early favorite in the pick six races.
The ninth race is the day’s second stakes, the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap for 3-year-old fillies at a mile on turf. The race is led by Raiding Party, who will have her stakes debut for Kentucky-based trainer Brendan Walsh after winning two of her first three starts. Raiding Party drew the inside post in a field of 11.
The final two races are an allowance at a mile on dirt and a maiden race at a mile on turf with fields of 10 and 11 runners before scratches.
