Pick six carryover of $201,242 for Thursday

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – There will be a pick six carryover of $201,242 into Thursday’s card at Saratoga after nothing but longshots came in on Wednesday.

There was a carryover of $48,361 following Monday’s card, and an additional $268,210 was wagered into the pool on Wednesday. Virtually all tickets were eliminated after the first three legs were won by longshots Arietta ($47.80), Dendrite ($92), and Melodic ($40.80). There was no reprieve from the indecipherable results as Iconic Artist ($32.60), Escape to the Moon ($50), and Winter’s Gift ($17.60) finished the sequence, the latter a horse who was off for 13 months.

The consolation payout (4 of 6) was worth $25,480.

Thursday’s sequence beings with the fifth race (3:12 p.m. Eastern) and includes four turf races and a dirt allowance sprint featuring the multiple graded stakes winner Clearly Now, who is trying to jump-start his career.
