Philadelphia Park track report

Joe DeVivo|Dec 07, 2005

Smoken Shooter, making just his third start since November 2004, stretched out from six furlongs to 1 1/16 miles to take a third-level allowance by 1 1/2 lengths last Sunday at Philadelphia Park.

A 5-year-old gelding trained by Ron Glorioso, Smoken Shooter ($6.80) earned a career-best Beyer of 94. He was one of five winners ridden over a two-day period by jockey Jose Flores.

* Trainer Bob Seeger saddled four winners in two days last weekend, all but one of them favorites.

Seeger's winners included a pair of second-off-the-claim horses. Manhattan Miner ($7), claimed for $5,000 at Delaware Park, scored at the $7,500 level. Missile Strike ($9.40), taken out of a $16,000 maiden claiming race, defeated first-level allowance runners.
