Peterson wins first stakes on Share the Ride in Mr. Prospector

Share the Ride and jockey Ferrin Peterson registered their first career stakes wins Saturday, when the pair took the $100,000 Mr. Prospector wire to wire at Monmouth Park.
Share the Ride won the six-furlong Mr. Prospector by 3 3/4 lengths over Awesome Anywhere. It was another length and a quarter back in third to a fast-closing Mind Control, who had a wide trip Saturday.
Peterson, who is in the midst of a strong meet at Monmouth, was aboard her eighth mount in a stakes. Share the Ride was moving back to dirt after racing on turf in last weekend’s Grade 3 Red Bank at Monmouth.

Share the Ride ($19.40) set fractions of 22.45 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.94 for the half-mile. He proceeded to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:09.18.
Antonio Arriaga trains Share the Ride for Silvino Ramirez. The horse by Candy Ride has now won 6 of 16 starts. The $60,000 first-place check Saturday improved his earnings to $249,860. He is out of the multiple stakes-winning mare Belle of the Hall, who earned $500,170.
